Custom 1978 Harley FXS Lowrider Shovelhead

I'm selling yet another one of my bikes. I'm slowly trying to thin my collection of Shovelheads. This bike has some unique touches. It will certainly not be lost in the parking lot. The bike is a 1978 FXS Lowrider 1200. The bike was redone about 15,000 miles ago. The motor runs well and is real clean. The bike has a big cam, straight pipes and an S&S Super E carb. The bike runs well and sounds mean, just like a shovel should. Its got 16" apes with internal wiring, new kuryakyn grips. Its lowered in the back. It has a chrome dual disk wide glide front end with a 21" wheel. The rear banana caliper is chrome along with a few other chrome touches on the bike. It has JB billet forward controls.  The bike is kick and electric start and has a set of brass knuckles on the kicker. The starter and starter drive are brand new right from JP Cycle and the primary cover gasket is new. The speedo doesn't work currently, It needs a cable. The paint is in pretty decent shape. Leave your wife and dresser at home, take this loud and cool shovel instead.

If you have any questions please call Tony at (401)316-0373. I drive truck and cant check my eBay messages often so please call! I've sold many of my bikes in the past and have a lot of happy customers, you'll be happy too.

I reserve the right to end this auction early as it is advertised locally as well.

On Sep-19-13 at 20:53:24 PDT, seller added the following information:

I do still have the factory handlebars and will include those with the bike to the winning bidder. I no longer have the cables though as they were worn and needed replacing when i did the apes. I also have a set of chrome turn out pipes i could include as well. This is your chance to get a big boy Harley for sportster money. Ride the bike the rest of the season and make it your own over the winter. Unless you live where its warm all year, then ride this thing.

Stephen King to Guest Star on ‘Sons of Anarchy’

Tue, 21 Sep 2010

Stephen King will be making a guest appearance on the hit TV show, Sons of Anarchy, later tonight.  King will play a character named “Bachman”, which I’m sure was no coincidence since he had published under the pen name “Richard Bachman” for several years. Stephen King is a motorcycle enthusiast and was excited to get a tricked-out, bright red Harley-Davidson Road-Glide to ride for the filming of the episode.  See his comments about the production here. Tsunami-Tossed Harley-Davidson from Japan Washes Up in Canada

Mon, 30 Apr 2012

A shipping container holding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle with Japanese plates was discovered on a beach in British Columbia, Canada. The container, which appears to be the cargo area of a box truck, is believed to be one of the first notable pieces of debris set adrift by the 2011 Japanese tsunami to land in North America. Beachcomber Peter Mark discovered the containerwhile riding his ATV along an isolated beach on Graham Island, an island south of the Alaskan Panhandle.
