Harley-Davidson Other description

Up for sale is my grandfathers 1976 Harley FXE show bike. In the last couple years its only been rode a few hundred miles. Its a beautiful bike in almost perfect shape. Its been stored in a heated garage with his other bikes. Here are the bike details...

- Original Frame and Engine to the title. (Clean Colorado Title)
- 1961 Harley Tanks, Emblems, and Dash.
- Engine runs great, bore and stroke are unknown.
- Heads are machined for dual plugs (bike has 4 plugs), ports have been cleaned up.
- Drag Pipes
- S & S Super B Carb (time period correct for the bike)
- Dual Plug Coil
- Oil Cooler
- Electric Start
- Wideglide Front end
- Chrome Spoked wheels
- Dual front brakes
- Forward Controls
- Chrome Controls on the bars
- Lowered Rear
- New Front Tire
- New Front Brakes

The bike runs great and has been well maintained. As far as the history goes on the bike. Prior to my grandpa owning it, it sat in a bike collection in Idaho for around 10 years. This collector bought the bike from the widow of an old man that built the bike quite awhile ago. Since it was built its only had 5439 mile put on it. This bike is in great shape and must see to appreciate. There are a couple things with the bike that I would like to disclose, first, the rear brake is weak compared to the other bikes my grandpa owns. Second, when the ignition (switch) is in running position (to the right), the head light wont turn on, but when the ignition is to the left the light will turn on but it doesn't allow the start button to work. Please call or text with any question. 970-297-8465 Austin

Harley Declares Women Riders Month

Tue, 10 Feb 2009

Back in July of ’08 Motorcycle.com announced that The Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museum and Nationwide Insurance were working together to mark July as Women’s Motorcycle Month in order to honor the contribution made to history by female riders. This May, Harley-Davidson is staging a series of events in order to celebrate women on two wheels by declaring May, “Women Riders Month.” Some of the Harley-Davidson Women Riders Month initiatives will include special rides in New York City and Milwaukee as well as an attempt to grace the pages of the Guinness Book of World Records for the largest number of women motorcycle riders trained in one weekend. Harley-Davidson dealerships will also be hosting women-only Garage Parties, which consist of informal meetings in an unintimidating environment where women can learn about motorcycling.

Motorcycle.com Adds a New Editor

Mon, 05 Nov 2012

While some moto publications are cutting back and constricting, Motorcycle.com is proud to announce the addition of a new editor to our masthead. MO readers, meet Jon Langston, our new Associate Editor. I knew Langston was a cool cat when I first met him at the Harley-Davidson Blackline unveiling in January 2011.
