Harley-Davidson Other description

1974 Harley Davidson FXE Superglide

FOR SALE on consignment at CONTE KUSTOMS in Pelham, AL. We welcome and encourage you to come see the motorcycle in person if you wish. Sold with a Bill of Sale only. Alabama will NOT issue titles for vehicles this age!

For your consideration is a AMF 1974' Harley Davidson FXE Superglide. This motorcycle has had extensive work done recently here at Conte Kustoms including:

-new tires, battery, points, condensor, plugs, wires, coil, starter relay, complete rewire (start, running ligths and brake light only), new chain and sprocket, freshly built and jetted CV carb, fresh oil change and tune up!

Cosmetically, the bike also went through some minor changes including:

-late model front end, brakes, wheel and controls, headlight, tail light, handlebars, leather seat, rear fender, custom exhaust, etc.

This motorcycle is a BEAST! It's a snot slinging, fire breathing, bone shaking monster! Not recommended for beginners or the elderly!

This motorcycle runs strong! Starts easily with both electric or kick start. Very fun and reliable old bike! Frame and motor are matching numbers. It has a set of dual plug heads which are not original. Currently running only ONE set of plugs and coil (keeping it simple). Not sure if the transmission is the original or not. It's setup to shift 1 up and 3 down, like the right hand shift bikes. Takes a second to get used to it, but works great! Like all old Shovelheads, it marks its spot when you park it (from the primary), smokes a bit when you get on it hard. You're required a bit of skill and knowledge to own one of these. Once again, I DO NOT recomend this motorcycle for beginner riders or the elderly. It is NOT a super comfy bike. It is a great bar hopper that will NEVER get lost in a crowd! Nothing on this bike was built to look "pretty" and "shiney"! All the NEW parts installed on this bike were made to look old to blend in with the bikes original character and patina! The gas tank is original to the bike and has KILLER patina! So the rest of the bike was built around it!

Please ask all questions before you bid and be ready to PAY when you win!

PAYMENT and SHIPPING: I have sold many motorcycles here on ebay and can assist with shipping at the buyers cost! Please inquire BEFORE you bid! Three-Year-Old Motorcycle Prodigy?

Tue, 18 Aug 2009

Even though Tiger woods started paying golf at age two, this story of a three-year-old boy from New Delhi, India is probably just as impressive, maybe more.  Azeem Khan, photographed on the Royal Enfield Bullet above, has been granted a special license by judges in India allowing him to ride his motorcycle on side roads but is not allowed out on the main roads by himself. Khan’s father had to customize the bike so that the young boy could reach the controls and prove that he could handle the motorcycle on his own. I used to sit him on my bike and he would always grab at the controls.
