Harley-Davidson Other description

1974 AMF Harley Davidson X-90
This is a matching numbers X 90. It still has the VIN tag on the neck of the frame. The paint on the tank is original although it does have a handlebar dent on the left side. The gas cap is good with no cracks. The other parts that are usually dented, bent or broke on these little bikes are nice and straight, fenders, chain guard, tail light, etc. The seat cover is reproduction and is not permanently attached in case the new owner wants to paint the seat pan. It is solid. Other parts that could easily be refinished like the exhaust, front end parts, etc, have not been touched. The motor runs good, it shifts through all the gears and the clutch works correctly. It does not have any broken cooling fins on the cylinder or the underside of the engine. All the electrical will work but the headlight bulb is burnt out. The wiring harness and connections are in good shape. One reflector is missing on the right side. All the cables are new except one for the speedometer, although it does work. The tires could have been on the bike since new and are dry. Overall an original bike that can be used the way it is or It can be spruced up easy by painting a few parts. Bill of sale only. I will answer any questions.

The Hydra-Glide name celebrates its 75th anniversary, dating back to the first hydraulic fork that was equipped to a Harley-Davidson, replacing the springer front end in 1949, while the “slash” fuel tank design, emblem, classic round air filter cover, two-toned windshield, seat, and cases, are all nods to the 1956 FLH. AMA Ice Racing Grand Championship Adds Ice Moto Competition

Mon, 03 Feb 2014

If you’ve been paying attention around here, you’ll know that we love ice racing here on Motorcycle.com. Editors Troy Siahaan and Tom Roderick got a first-hand taste of ice racing last winter, and we got a real kick out of seeing racers Brad Baker, Jared Mees and Nichole Mees taking Harley-Davidson Street 750s onto ice during the Winter X Games. That’s why we’re looking forward to the American Motorcyclist Association Ice Racing Grand Championships, Feb.
