1968 Atomic Custom chopper! This bike was built for the Motorcycles as Art display at the Buffalo Chip in Sturgis, SD. It will also be featured in an upcoming issue of Easyriders magazine. This bike has only been ridden 2 times for shakedown/test and tune. It is currently on display at the Holter Museum of art in Helena, Montana.
Specs: *OEM motor with 84" internals, the best of everything. Built by Randall Nelson. Morris magneto, S&S E carb, Cycle Electric generator. Engraved rocker boxes, aircleaner cover, and cam cover. * Rivera/Primo belt drive with pro clutch tucked inside a Phares Cycle Parts cast aluminum primary (also engraved). *OEM ratchet top 4 speed trans also completely rebuilt by Randall Nelson. Engraved kicker cover * Phares Cycle Parts 2 over narrow I beam springer mated to a stock spec straight leg frame. * High shoulder aluminum wheels. 21" spool up front and 16" star hub out back. * Custom king and queen seat. Perry King To Be Grand Marshal At Second Annual The Greatest Escape Motorcycle Ride Benefit
Tue, 06 May 2014Organizers have announced that the much anticipated The Greatest Escape, 2014 in it’s second year, will be led by Grand Marshal, Perry King and a host of celebrities. The Greatest Escape is scheduled for Sunday, August 3, 2014 and will begin with a beautiful ride from Bartels’ Harley-Davidson, 4141 Lincoln Blvd., Marina Del Rey, CA along the Pacific Coast Highway with stunning views of the ocean to the rustic and historic Paramount Ranch, Cornell Road, Agoura Hills, CA. Join Perry King for what will be a wonderful day ending with a concert and BBQ lunch on the ranch. The Greatest Escape, 2014 will include a BBQ lunch by J Wolf BBQ and a concert by The Walking Phoenixes, a Johnny Cash tribute band. The Greatest Escape, 2014, will benefit victims of Mesothelioma and the Pacific Meso Center, in Los Angeles, CA.
Built For Speed Art Exhibit To Be Displayed At Sturgis Buffalo Chip
Wed, 23 Jul 2014“Built for Speed – Race Inspired Motorcycles and Art” is the title of Michael Lichter’s 14th annual “Motorcycles as Art” exhibition in Sturgis this August, which for the second year in a row, will be jointly curated by Michael and Paul d’Orleans of the Vintagent. ‘Built for Speed’ is sure to impress visitors with a beautiful and thought-provoking display of motorcycles and related art, the race-inspired theme making connections between motorcycle racing and custom bike designs inspired by racers. Each custom bike in ‘Built for Speed’ reflects a branch of racing; Speedway, Flat Track, Drag Racing, Board Track, Grand Prix, Land Speed Record, and will be displayed beside the racing machines suggesting the origins of each style.
