Original 1967 Harley-Davidson Electra-Glide in original condition. Bike has been sitting for the last 12 years in a garage in Tennessee. Bike has had gas drained, oil & filter changed and petcock replaced. Starts right up with a little smoke ( from sitting? ) and runs very strong. Bike shift gears smoothly & clutch operates good. Appears to be a replacement battery, generator, speedometer and 1970 mufflers. Bike starts and shifts nice, will need some normal maintenance for a bike that has sat this long ( tune-up, carb service, tires etc ). Rear brakes not working, soft pedal. Paint is original Hi-Fi Red that has a dent on top of the front fender and the rest has normal fading, and expected wear. Very nice all around nearly unmolested slabside Shovelhead! Tsunami-Tossed Harley-Davidson from Japan Washes Up in Canada
Mon, 30 Apr 2012A shipping container holding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle with Japanese plates was discovered on a beach in British Columbia, Canada. The container, which appears to be the cargo area of a box truck, is believed to be one of the first notable pieces of debris set adrift by the 2011 Japanese tsunami to land in North America. Beachcomber Peter Mark discovered the containerwhile riding his ATV along an isolated beach on Graham Island, an island south of the Alaskan Panhandle.
Harley-Davidson Confirms Project Livewire Will Appear In Avengers Movie
Fri, 25 Jul 2014From the “Unless-You’ve-Been-Living-Under-A-Rock” department comes Harley-Davidson’s announcement today at the San Diego Comic-Con, that H-D’s first electric motorcycle, the Livewire, will indeed be used in Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron movie as the ride of choice for Natasha Romanoff (a.k.a. Black Widow) played by Scarlett Johansson, in an epic scene with Captain America in the film.
