Harley-Davidson Other description

Im selling my 1963 pan/shovel. Bike has been in the family for about 20 years, I have to many bikes and really need something more comfortable for longer rides. This bike never gets ridden any more, I have done about 50 miles on it in the past 2 years. Top end is all new with under 10 miles on it, low compression 8.1 pistons, if I remember correct its 0.040 over, heads were completely gone thru as well. Little over 2 years ago I did 1400 miles on it going up to NC and camping dills gap, after I got back it was getting some blow by out the case vent so I pulled it apart and found a valve seat had moved just a hair so that's when I had the top end done, all machine work was done by Kerby at V-TWIN racing in Deland FL, since then all I have done is rode the bike over from our old house when we moved , drained fuel and it has sat. Pulled it out yesterday and it hit on the 3ed kick, ran it around town real fast and parked it,. Bike has b grind cam and electronic ignition set up, 1.5 open belt kick only. new clutch tamer, and friction plates recently .battery and rear tire are also new. GMA brakes front and rear, Has a S&S cam cover,, engine is a 1963 flh pan bottom shovel top , yes its titled Harley, S&S carb, electronic ignition, B cam, solid lifters, stock wheels n stroke, jocky shift, kicks easy. The trans is older,, late 50's but don't remember the numbers on it.. Its obvious this is not a show bike or super clean, I ride my bikes not wash them all the time,  paint is nice, chrome on the 4 link rear is flaking in spots and the spokes up front are getn rusty but I think that will buff right of ''if that's what you want''. rear wheel is 16'' and nice chrome with 200 rear tire, front tire looks like its getting a little dry rot, I would swap it out, Billy Lane built the pipes for me about 15 years ago are more, they are ceramic coated. If you have questions pleasssse contact me. im more than happy to give you my number and talk about any thing you need to know, also will send you a video or it running if you want. If it don't sell I may pull the drivetrain and sell it alone with title so if your interested in that let me know, Im watching these engines on here sell with titles for 5k not complete,,, any way please email me with questions and my number if you want it, I will help with shipping if needed, may be able to deliver if not to far ,,,250 miles or so max, will see

New Delhi Auto Expo 2012 – Motorcycle Manufacturers Draw Battle Lines for World’s Second Largest Market

Mon, 09 Jan 2012

In past years, the biennial Auto Expo in India slipped under the radar while the industry was focused more on shows such as EICMA in Italy and Intermot in Germany. But with India’s middle class starting to flex its financial muscle while other markets continue to struggle, the New Delhi show is becoming much more prominent, with major OEMs positioning themselves to claim a piece of the India’s 13 million vehicles-a-year market. We’ve already looked at India-produced Royal Enfield’s new Thunderbird 500 and Hero Moto’s hybrid scooter concept which debuted at the Auto Expo, and today we’ll look at what the major international OEMs presented.

Airhawk Introduces DS Comfort Seating System For Dual Sport Bikes, Bikes With Narrow Seats

Fri, 16 May 2014

Airhawk, Inc., has introduced the DS Comfort Seating System, a cushion designed specifically for motorcyclists who ride dual sport bikes or bikes with narrower seats. Features of the DS cushion include a narrow front to match the seat profile of most dual sport/adventure bikes and bikes with narrow seats.  A tapered-down front minimizes unwanted pressure on the scrotum, and a heavy-duty hold-down strap system ensures a secure fit to the bike.  The DS also works well with narrow customized or aftermarket seats that have been installed for the purpose of getting the rider lower to the ground.
