1962 FL Duo-glide Panhead, this was my fathers bike who has passed 6 years ago, and I have never had the time to finish it. Bought the bike in 2003, and started to re-store a lot of original parts. Original gas tanks, original motor, original carburetor, original air cleaner, original transmission, original wheels, original fenders, original seat, was re-painted but has sat for many years. My dad was working on this bike until he took sick. Bike has been sitting untouched. The engine turns free, and will run. Would be an excellent bike for someone who has the time to finish putting it together. I am not an expert in motorcycles, so may find it difficult in answering any questions. From what I see the bike is about 85% complete. This bike was never registered, but has a clear Florida title. Buyer to arrange and pay for shipping. I will not be responsible for making any arrangements, but I will help load the bike on the truck/trailer. |

Louisiana Bill Updates Maximum Handlebar Height Legislation
Thu, 17 May 2012Louisiana state lawmakers have approved a bill that would change the maximum height of motorcycle handlebars. Current state law restricts handlebar height to no more than 15 inches above the seat, a somewhat arbitrary level, but a common choice with 17 other states. The House has voted 87-0 in favor of Senate Bill 582 to change the maximum height to the rider’s shoulder level, as measured while sitting on the seat.

2012 US Motorcycle Sales Results – Industry Reports 2.6% Increase
Tue, 05 Feb 2013The Motorcycle Industry Council reported a 2.6% increase in motorcycle sales in the U.S. market for 2012. According to the industry group’s figures, American consumers purchased 452,386 motorcycles in 2012 compared to 440,899 motorcycles in 2011.
