Harley-Davidson Other description

Here is my 1949 Harley WL 45 for sale. I purchased this bike from an 81 year old gentleman that had owned it for many years. It sat in the barn for several years but I have had her completely serviced, checked-out and she is ready to ride! This bike was a member of his family and the owners wife was in tears as I pulled away since this was the bike that he was riding the day he proposed to her. Anyway, over the years the speedo was replaced but the original glass-faced speedo is included. The brass Linkert was replaced with a Mikuni but the original Linkert and air filter are included. On a bad day the right tank (oil) was dented and was replaced with a 1961 tank. The fender tip emblems were added at some time but are not OEM Harley. The original handlebars were replaced with others to accomodate the Mikunt set-up. Sorry but he could not find the original bars. The paint is not the best and the bike should be repainted for show quality. All-in-all, a really cool vintage scooter that runs and rides great!!! Could be a daily rider and will continue to go up in value. Check it out! Press play!

Harley-Davidson Wire Sculpture

Thu, 12 Nov 2009

Contemporary Artist Derek Kinzett is based out of the U.K. and works with wire to create some stunning sculptures. I cant imagine how long it must have taken to make this Harley-Davidson replica but I am sure he is well compensated.  Kinzett has even been commissioned by Nicolas Cage, hopefully he received his payment before Cage’s IRS bill came in…
