1947 Harley-davidson Other on 2040-motos

We found this bike in NY. The guys grandfather had given him the engine and transmission so he thought he would build a chopper, but never completed it. The engine was recently rebuilt and runs / starts great. The cases are matching numbers and there are no cracks or welds that I can see. There is one broken fin see pictures. It has a 12 volt gen, M35 carb, belt drive primary and auto advance distributor. The transmission is date coded Oct 1946 J-6, also no cracks or welds I can see, it is a ratchet top. It is a Santee frame roller kit from Custom Chrome, with wide glide front end, that will accept a knuckle, pan, shovel or evo motor. There are no brakes on bike. We decided not to fix brakes because most buyers would probably remove engine and transmission from bike. If you want to ride as a bobber the rear wheel will need to be properly spaced and a caliper bracket installed. I will not separate engine/trans from frame. We have an Massachusetts title to engine in my name.
