1947 Harley Davidson Knucklehead "Replica" by Knucklehead Power of Florida, built in 2001. ONLY 1300 original miles. Kick and electric start. This is an exact replica in good condition. Most all the parts on this bike can be used on the real bike and it has every option offered By Harley Davidson in 1947. This bike runs and drives but will a basic going through from sitting a long time. This bike is just like the original Knucklehead. PICTURES were taken 6/24/16.This is a great opportunity to have a piece of history at a fraction of the price. Specs are: California registered free and clear CA Title, titled as a 2001, color Black, engine: 84 cu in, S&S lower end, Ross pistons, Hastings rings, Swedish (Flat Head Power) cylinders and heads. 3 7/16 bore X 3.428 stroke. 8:1 compression. Harley-Davidson's Production Stoppage Was Caused by Non-compliant Brake Lines
Fri, 29 Jul 2022Production ramps up to meet year-end targets Back in May, Harley-Davidson announced it would temporarily halt motorcycle production due to a “regulatory compliance matter” regarding an unspecified part from a third-party supplier. Harley-Davidson initially estimated the stoppage would last two weeks but it eventually lasted 19 days before production resumed on June 6. The actual cause for the delay remained unclear some speculating the issue was related to the powertrains, as the stoppage only affected Harley-Davidson’s gas engine-powered motorcycles and not the electric LiveWires.

Fri, 04 Oct 2013On January 9, 2014, during the fourth annual Las Vegas Sale of motorcycles at Bally’s Hotel and Casino, Bonhams, the world’s largest auction house for cars, motorcycles and memorabilia, will be auctioning off over 50 motorcycles from the extensive Wayne Pierce family museum collection, all offered at no reserve. Among the machines is a first-year Harley-Davidson Sportster believed to be the 10th XL883 produced in 1957, a 1933 Harley VLE police bike that saw actual duty on the streets of Chicago before being cast in the 1987 Kevin Costner gangster movie, “The Untouchables,” and an authentic and unrestored 1947 Harley Knucklehead wearing period aftermarket accessories. Wayne “Pappy” Pierce started his Harley-Davidson dealership in 1957, run out of a one-room tin shed in DeKalb, Illinois.
