Harley-Davidson Other description

Easyriders artist, David Mann, used this rig prominently in his wedding in 1997.

1941 Harley-Davidson Knucklehead with 1944 H-D sidecar, and has many original parts, including all sheet metal. The primary was upgraded to a belt behind the original tin cover. Some original parts have been replaced over the years as they wore out. This bike has been in my possession for 35 years and has always run and starts very easily. The sidecar comes off and goes on easily which I have done by myself several times over the years. I have kept up with maintenance and rebuilt the M35 carb 1.5 years ago.  There are some nicks, scratches and a minor ding on the sidecar, and the frame has been repaired at one of the joints. The photos of the bike were taken 5/27/16, and the wedding photos were taken 3/9/97 by Kim Peterson.

If you have questions, please ask. I reserve the right to end auction early for any reason. Inspections are welcomed, but must be done PRIOR to auction’s end. Bike is located in Ventura, CA and has a clean and clear title.

ALL shipping arrangements must be made by the buyer. Payment will be via paypal deposit within 24 hours for $1,000.00 and the remaining balance will be a bank transfer (wire) or cash in person within 7 calendar days. No exceptions and this applies to international buyers as well. The bike doesn’t leave my driveway until funds clear. No returns and sold as-is.

A Seattle Seahawks-Themed Motorcycle. Why? Because Football. And Charity.

Fri, 23 Aug 2013

With the return of football season upon us (that’s American football for our international readers), we thought it best to feature, what else, but a motorcycle. In this particular case, it’s a Seattle Seahawks-themed custom based on a 2005 Harley-Davidson Road King, the same year the Hawks made it to the Super Bowl. The man behind the custom, award-winning bike builder and Seattle resident, Keith Wong, was approached by Patrick ‘PT’ Town, the founder and executive director of Union Ride & Charity Rally - a charity event to raise money for several non-profits including Northwest Harvest, A.N.E.W., Helmets to Hardhats and the Awareness, Education and Prevention of Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) in Youth Football.

AMA Ice Racing Grand Championship Adds Ice Moto Competition

Mon, 03 Feb 2014

If you’ve been paying attention around here, you’ll know that we love ice racing here on Motorcycle.com. Editors Troy Siahaan and Tom Roderick got a first-hand taste of ice racing last winter, and we got a real kick out of seeing racers Brad Baker, Jared Mees and Nichole Mees taking Harley-Davidson Street 750s onto ice during the Winter X Games. That’s why we’re looking forward to the American Motorcyclist Association Ice Racing Grand Championships, Feb.

Most Obvious Press Release Of 2013: Biker Chicks Sexier Than Pedestrians

Tue, 31 Dec 2013

In a misallocation of funds Harley-Davidson recently spent an untold buttload of money proving something men have known for years: That women who ride motorcycles are sexier and better between the sheets than women who don’t ride. Common responses from male motorcyclists to the press release were: Duh; Tell me something I didn’t already know; Can I be a recruiter? Meant to entice non-riding females into the Harley-Davidson army by pimping the Bar & Shield’s website, www.h-d.com/women, the press release was peppered with effeminate catchphrases such as “physical intimacy, “communication,” and “improves relationships” but the basal message is one of female motorcyclists being sexier, happier and more confident than their non-riding counterparts.
