Harley-Davidson FXR description

If you know Harleys, this bike is the "holy grail" of Harleys...the best riding bike Harley ever made. Don't confuse a Dyna with an FXR. The FXR frames, designed by Eric Buell, became too expensive for HD to make. It was designed for a four cylinder engine (Nova project) HD had to compete with the four cylinder Hondas. The Nova project died, but HD used the frame anyway. This bike is as light as a Sportster...this one especially because of the abundance of aluminum in here. It has $2,800 Ceriani GCB forks. Rides like a Lincoln on the highway and a Porsche in the corners. I've never seen a better built FXR than this one and it's in your area. Over $17,000 in this bike and it only has 23,000 miles on it. Here's the build list:

Performance Machine Chicane front wheel - spun aluminum light weight ($1,500)
Performance Machine Aero rear wheel - spun aluminum light weight ($1,500)
Performance Machine calipers ($900) (#1213-0017 Front)(#1268-0052 Rear)
Performance Machine Classic rotors - 13" floating in front ($400)
Performance Machine Contour foot pegs (all six) ($540)
Performance Machine Renthal grips ($120)
Performance Machine billet front brake fluid housing ($370)
Ceriani GCB (Gazzaniga, Ceriani & Bianchi) 43mm "Special Forks" ($2,800)
Progressive brand billet 418 rear shocks with adj. pre load and dampening ($500)
ART billet transmission side plate
Andrews back cut gears
Primo/Rivera Brut Classic belt drive with high performance clutch plates ($1,600)
Carlini torque arm ($300)
Stainless steel brake lines
Crane HI-4 Ignition with single fire coils ($450)
Supertrapp 2-into-1 tunable (discs) ceramic coated exhaust ($1,500)
Bobtail rear fender
Custom "California boy" old school paint job (base is deep purple, looks black)
(2008)
Corbin leather seat ($400)
"Magic" head work (porting, polishing and flow work) by Wes at Cycle Rama in
Daytona Beach, FL.
Ross brand 10.5:1 compression pistons from Cycle Rama
Billet lifters and blocks from Cycle Rama
Crane .600 cam
Mikuni HSR45 high performance carb. ($500)
Arlen Ness side covers ($200)
Arlen Ness chin spoiler concealing an oil cooler and horn. ($200)
New swing arm bushings (2008)
New battery (2008)
Pingel petcock ($150)
Avon Venom tires
Dash warning / signal indicators replaced and correctly wired into junction
connectors.
Kuryakn turn signals installed and correctly wired into connectors (2011) ($170)
Kuryakn Eclipse mirrors. ($80)

May & June 2012 - New battery, stator, voltage regulator and primary belt.

The paint around the filler neck develops a bubble on hot days that goes down when it cools off. Been that way for years. Small nick on front fender, otherwise appears as it would if it were a few years old instead of 20. Check my feedback rating (over 625 and all positive) as well as the comments, and bid with confidence. I'm a retired old fart and this bike is just too much of a beast for me . It dyno'd at 95/96 and weighs less than a Sportster. I feel that these FXRs are the best riding Harleys ever built, and his is one of the best FXRs anywhere, but I'm kinda biased.
