Harley-Davidson Dyna description

Thank you for considering this fine 2013 HD Dyna Switchback.  This is a great bike for those who want to pull off the windshield/bags/backrest and cruise town or use all the components for a longer tour.  It is completely stock other than the removable Passenger Backrest which is worth $350+. I purchased this bike after it went down on the RH (Pipe) Side with ONLY 630 Miles on it.  The damage was minimal as I replaced the Rear Fender, RH Saddlebag and Muffler.  This is NOT a Red (Parts Only) or Blue (Salvage) title bike.  It went through the state inspection process and therefore carries a Green Title with the notations that read 'Rebuilt Vehicle, Anti-Theft Inspection Passed, Actual Mileage'.  There are no known mechanical issues with this motorcycle as I have ridden it to the current 959 Mile Mark.  I called the local HD Dealer and verified the warranty is through July 2014...please feel free to confirm with your HD Dealership.  My hope was to move my wife up from her Sporty to this bike but she is not ready for the 103 just yet.

I would welcome and prefer you to view and ride the bike if you are near East Tennessee.  Please feel free to contact me with any questions.

Harley-Davidson Recalls 250,000 Motorcycles for Rear Brake Light Switches

Mon, 24 Oct 2011

Harley-Davidson is issuing a recall for 250,757 units from its Touring, CVO Touring and Trike line from model years 2009 – 2012. The rear brake light switch on the models in question may become degraded due to the heat from the exhaust systems. This may affect brake light function and may result in a brake fluid leak.

2024 Harley-Davidson Hydra-Glide Revival Review

A double dose of nostalgia Photos by Edward Narraca; Harley-Davidson Museum Archives I love classic Americana. Hot rods, choppers, you name it. It’s one of the things that make me proud to be from the place that this aesthetic was born.

Vespa goes back to the future

Thu, 22 Nov 2012

IT'S been a while coming, but the gorgeous Vespa 946 - EICMA 2012's Best of Show - has finally introduced something to the two-wheeled world that our four-wheeled counterparts have had for a while.  I call this 'reverse retro-futurism' - the art of borrowing lines from models past and imbuing them with a sleek sense of future direction (as opposed to retro-futurism, the pre-1960s design trend of depicting the technology of the future. The term 'decopunk' may come close, but feel free to tell me if there's a more exact term.) It's what the New Mini and the New Beetle (both 1997 and 2012 versions) have done so well, and so successfully: building an all-new model as a tribute to a classic, something that's modern yet already timeless, with a widely-appreciated, inclusive aesthetic (and here we eliminate the Plymouth PT Cruiser from the conversation). The biking world is great at retro, indeed thrives on it, but not so good at adding in a taste of the 21st century.
