Harley-Davidson Dyna description

2009 Harley-Davidson FXD Dyna Super Glide 2009 Harley-Davidson FXD Dyna Super Glide This is Dyna in its purest form. The Super Glide offers Twin Cam 96 power under a solo seat, cradled in a nimble Dyna chassis. This most affordable example of the Big Twin breed is an inviting canvas for extreme and creative customization. The Harley-Davidson Dyna family has its roots in the factory-custom revolution of the 1970s. These 5 motorcycles pair Big Twin performance with an extended FX front end. Dyna has always had a reputation for great handling, with loads of attitude that appeals to riders with a strong inclination for independent thinking. All Dyna models feature a new silver-face speedometer with fuel range read-out, a new low-profile front fender and a new fuel sender. A 1584 cc Twin Cam 96 powertrain with Electronic Sequential Port Fuel Injection (ESPFI) mated to the six Gear Cruise Drive transmission cranks out 92 feet.-lbs. of torque at 3000 rpm. Common Dyna characteristics include the under-seat battery box, exposed rear shock absorbers, and a classic Fat Bob fuel tank with console. Elvis' Harley

Thu, 16 Aug 2012

Today (August 16) it's exactly 35 years since Elvis died (or didn't, depending on your beliefs on the matter) so we thought we'd mark the moment with this – Elvis Presley's own 1956 Harley-Davidson. Elvis is so inextricably linked to Harleys that he's even become subject of an endlessly-circulating internet myth. You know, the one where a guy finds an old Harley for a few bucks, starts to restore it and discovers an 'Elvis' inscription under the seat.

Harley-Davidson Breakout Recall Caused by Fuel Tank Angle

Fri, 25 Apr 2014

An official recall announcement by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration sheds some light on the cause of a recall campaign on 2013-2014 Harley-Davidson Breakout and CVO Breakout models. We wrote about the recall last week, after campaigns were initiated in Canada and Australia to address a problem with the fuel sensors not properly reading the correct volume of fuel. We now know the problem is caused by the angle of the fuel tank.

Airhawk Introduces DS Comfort Seating System For Dual Sport Bikes, Bikes With Narrow Seats

Fri, 16 May 2014

Airhawk, Inc., has introduced the DS Comfort Seating System, a cushion designed specifically for motorcyclists who ride dual sport bikes or bikes with narrower seats. Features of the DS cushion include a narrow front to match the seat profile of most dual sport/adventure bikes and bikes with narrow seats.  A tapered-down front minimizes unwanted pressure on the scrotum, and a heavy-duty hold-down strap system ensures a secure fit to the bike.  The DS also works well with narrow customized or aftermarket seats that have been installed for the purpose of getting the rider lower to the ground.
