Harley-Davidson Dyna description

This is a prototype design I have been playing around with. The design is mine but since I lacked the skills and tools to do all the custom work myself I worked with a local custom bike shop for fabrication and safety needs. There is far to much work to list everything hear but I will list most of the major work, feel free to contact me with any questions.

-Entire front end is from an FLST (86-99) with Road King Type Nacelle
-Rims are 18.0 X 4.25 with custom spokes mounted to new hubs to match new front end
Rims and Hubs powder coated to match frame
-Custom Plate Relocation Bracket
-Powder Coated forward controls and various other parts.
-Rhino Lined Tank and Rear Tin
-Tires are Dirt Bike tires from Heidenau (K60 Dual Sport)
-Also added the chin spoiler.
-Thin LED brake and turn signal bar at the end of rear fender. No front turn signals.
*** Also includes the matching Harley Solo Saddle Bag for Dyna's *** The brackets are already powered coated and mounted on the bike as can be seen in the photos. However mounting bag requires the passenger pegs to be removed.

Bike Runs just fine at speed but grips like hell at low speeds. All this means is you really feel the knobby tires when turning at very slow speeds. Turns just fine though and after a couple of practice turns in the parking lot you quickly forget about the new feel. I get constant attention anytime I stop and loads more from local clubs. I love the bike and while there is still more I want to do to it I am only selling to fund an identical build on a fat boy low. I am setting the buy it now price high just so I can see what kind of offers I get. I am listing locally as well and so reserve the right to end the listing early. I plan on setting the lowest accepted offer at 6K so if you plan on making an offer lower than that it will not be accepted by default.

Please feel free to make an offer and we can discuss. I am happy to answer any questions and can take more pics in need be.

***NOTE*** This bike is still under warranty until March 2014. (This protection only applies to parts not changed or altered. So the front end is not covered but the motor certainly is.)
***NOTE 2*** Thank you for all the interest and personal messages offering complements. Based on the offers received so far, both official and through personal messages, I have decided to lower the buy it now price to something much closer to the value I would except. Please feel free to continue making offers you feel more comfortable with however I am lowering the price because I have three appointments this week with prospective buyers, from a local listing, around the new buy it know price. Therefore as I mentioned earlier I may end the listing early due to local listings. Thanks again for all the great feedback.

Top 10 Album Covers featuring Motorcycles

Tue, 09 Apr 2013

1 of 11Next Last   Motorcycles and rock ‘n’ roll. Ever since The King threw his leg over his ’56 Harley-Davidson and the Black Rebels rolled into Carbonville, the combination of motorcycles and rock have been as combustible as gas and spark. Early moto-rock lived for the most part on the fringes of pop music, in the pomped-up rockabilly of guys like Eddie Cochran and Gene Vincent.

EBR Nation Part 3: Made In America

Wed, 10 Aug 2011

Erik Buell Racing has released the third episode of its series about the new 1190RS sportbike. The latest episode focuses on the company’s “Made in America” philosophy, with its goal of producing a high-performance superbike in the U.S.A. As Erik Buell, racer Geoff May and designer Tony Stefanelli discuss the themes of innovation and freedom, we can’t help but wonder however whether they’re talking about American ideals, or about being out from Harley-Davidson’s umbrella.
