Ducati Supersport description

This an original Ducati 900SS Super Sport Southern California bike that I have had for almost 20 Years as my "Friday Ride To Work" bike among several other special interest bikes I own. I turned 68 in July and need to reduce the number of bikes I have. This Ducati has a Salvage title since it was stolen while on a "Test" Ride -Never Ever Do This! It was recovered several weeks later and the fiberglass body work was missing. It took several years to replace everything and repaint it after I bought it back from the Insurance Company. The bike is maintained by a Ducati Specialist Shop and I ride it to work once a week or so if the weather is nice. It has a small ding on the left side of the gas tank from the police impound yard. All brakes pads are race bike parts for precise stopping, new front fork seals and steering head bearings, new chain and OEM sprockets, new tires, new Ducati Dry Clutch w/race springs. Original Ducati Stainless exhaust system with the carbs rebuilt and rejetted for best performance on the freeway. This bike is ultra quiet and instant starting - cold or warm. The noisy thing is the dry clutch! Also the best sound!
Also comes with a "spare 900SS Ducati Frame" and separate title. Always worried about being hit in traffic and damaging the frame. The "birdcage" frame would be very hard to re-align if mangled. So I got a spare one! I will be posting more pictures of all the spare parts that go with this bike later.

Buyer responsible for all shipping expenses and arrangements. Bike not released until all funds verified by my Bank. Ask questions if needed. And yes...that is my 1948 Packard in he background.

“Ducati Remains Ducati” Says Audi CEO

Thu, 12 Jul 2012

Audi AG Chief Executive Officer Rupert Stadler addressed Ducati‘s workforce in Bologna, Italy, for the first time to address his company’s impending acquisition of the motorcycle maker. Joined by members of Ducati‘s management including President and CEO Gabriele Del Torchio, as well as Thomas Sigi, Audi’s head of human resources, Stadler met with Ducati’s entire workforce of nearly 1000 people to discuss the future of the company. The address comes after the European Union granted its blessing to the acquisition.

Ducati: World’s Fastest Spider?

Tue, 25 Jun 2013

According to a report in The Vancouver Sun, a fast little spider was recently discovered in the high-elevation Flathead Valley of southeastern British Columbia. Measuring only three millimeters in length, the Apostenus ducati is so small and fast it is nearly impossible to catch, says Robb Bennett, the Royal B.C. research associate responsible for helping name the arachnid.
