Ducati Superbike description

Selling my 2003 Ducati 999!!! The bike is in great condition, never been down, and runs flawlessly.  Several ad-ons such as full termi exhaust, ASV adjustable brake and clutch levers, brand new battery, brand new set of tires, and was fully serviced (including timing belts etc.) at 8000 miles so is good to go for a while.  The bike pretty much speaks for itself but will say that you will not be disappointed.  Fast, handles better than any bike I have ever been on, and of course it is a ducati superbike.  That is all I got, but feel free to request any additional photos, videos, or details and I will be more than happy to help you out.  I also have a full service manual for the bike and the red key.  Can provide maintainence logs, etc.  Thanks!!  Asking for 7500 or best offer (below NADA value) and will take reasonable offers so do not hesitate to run a number by me, you never know.  Also, I will throw in a nice barely used riding jacket, helmet, full service manual and a few more extras for the right price.  Thanks!!!

Main points:

* never down
* recently serviced
* new tires and battery
* several performance upgrades
* have both monoposto and biposto set-ups
* clear title
* do NOT have OEM mirrors- replaced with bar-end mirrors
* this exact bike (2003 Ducati 999) won the World Superbike Championship in 2003, its performance is more than sure to satisfy even the most hardcore adrenaline junkie; You can casually ride this thing, open it up for some "inside the lines" type of fun, or you can take it to any limit you want to go.  I can vouch for the factory listed specifications, 0-60mph in under 3 seconds with pulse pounding top speed but she handles better than any bike I have ever been on.  The faster you go the better the bike feels, not all shaky and unstable like some of the Japanese superbikes.

http://www.nadaguides.com/Motorcycles/2003/Ducati/999-998cc/Values  when you follow this link to the NADA pricing keep in mind that this bike would definitely classify as being worth the highest end of suggested retail.  The bike doesn't have a single scratch on it, is mechanically perfect, comes with several performance upgrades, lots of carbon fiber bodywork, new tires, new battery, all service up to date, etc..  Just needs a rider.  I have listed this bike a few times already and have not received the offer I was looking for, so in the interest of getting this thing sold I am reducing the price to a level that is a deal!!! Get it while its hot, shouldn't last long at my asking price, but feel free to shoot me best offers.  Thanks!!!

The opening round of the 2014 MotoGP season is complete, and if the Grand Prix of Qatar is any indication, it looks like it’ll be an interesting season. If you haven’t yet, read up on the recap for the Qatar MotoGP race for the details on what transpired at Losail International Circuit in Doha. Here then are some of the (mostly spoiler-free) photographs from the Grand Prix of Qatar, including images from the MotoGP, Moto2 and Moto3 classes.

Report: Ducati Technology in Future Audi Two-Wheeler

Tue, 17 Jul 2012

Audi‘s acquisition of Ducati is still yet to be finalized but that hasn’t stopped the automaker from discussing a possible product of their union. Speaking at the opening of the new Audi City digital showroom in London, Audi sales and marketing Chief Peter Schwarzenbauer hinted a two-wheeled Audi is on its way, with Ducati playing a vital role in “future mobility solutions” for urban travelers. Schwarzenbauer tells British car site Autocar the new motorcycle or scooter will not simply be a “Ducati wearing an Audi badge.” The phrases “future mobility solution” and “urban” are usually used together when discussing scooters, so an Audi scooter may be more likely than a motorcycle.

Rossi Reveals Ducati Desmosedici GP12

Mon, 30 Jan 2012

Valentino Rossi has released the first photograph of the factory Ducati Desmosedici GP12 ahead of the MotoGP pre-season test at Malaysia’s Sepang circuit. The Doctor and Ducati teammate Nicky Hayden will test the GP12 alongside the other MotoGP teams and their race bikes this week to prepare for the upcoming 2012 season. The GP12 is said to be made of 90% new components, including an aluminum frame, a conventional design for most MotoGP teams but new for Ducati coming off of the ultimately unsuccessful carbon monocoque design.
