Ducati Superbike description

2013 Ducati Superbike 1199 Panigale ABS, CONTACT KYLE FOR DETAILS(480)-898-0559 2013 Ducati Superbike 1199 Panigale The beauty of performance Supreme performance, superlative technology, magnetic personality, enthralling design: on track or on road there's nothing to beat the 1199 Panigale. Checkmate The new Superquadro 195 HP engine is exquisitely incorporated into the monocoque chassis. Engineering solutions marked by an innovation in details have been implemented to take the dry weight down to an incredible 164 kg. Ducati styling inside and out is further enhanced by the most exclusive components. Cutting-edge electronics unleash power and refine riding precision, and with a power-to-weight ratio of 1.19 HP/kg, there's nothing like it in the world. 1199 Panigale: 5 moves to become the new and extreme standard of reference in sport bikes. Architecture The engine has been designed as the structural element of the frame. As such, its architecture has been completely reviewed to ensure the best design in terms of structure, weight distribution and robustness. The cylinders, at a 90 angle of each other, have been rolled back an additional 6 on the crankcase to produce a 21 angle between the front cylinder and the horizontal plane. This has allowed the engine to go forward by 32 mm, as a result improving the distribution of weights between the front and rear end and achieving the perfect position of the fastening points of the cylinder heads into the monocoque chassis of the 1199 Panigale. Monocoque Technology The 1199 Panigale's chassis marks an enormous innovation: different components have been integrated to give shape to a single compact and lightweight element that enhances the rider's posture to perfect the riding position. The monocoque structure in cast aluminium for increased strength uses the Superquadro engine as a structural element and aids in reducing the bike's total weight by 5 kg. The monocoque frame is fixed directly to the cylinder head, and at front are two aluminium bushings inserted with the steering tube bearings. In addition to performing the traditional function of frame, the monocoque also acts as an air-box and significantly contributes to lowering the overall weight of the motorcycle. Housed inside, besides the air filter, are the throttle bodies and fuel circuit complete with injectors, and the bottom of the aluminium tank (lighter by 1.9% compared to the 1198) is used as a cover for the airbox. Anti-Lock Blocking System (ABS) 9ME The ABS 9ME equipping the 1199 Panigale and 1199 Panigale S a as an option and fitted as a standard on the Tricolore and R, is a latest-generation system with two channels that performs combined braking with control of the lifting of the rear wheel to guarantee not only shorter braking distances, but also the greatest stability during braking. Specifically intended for a sport use, the ABS 9ME, offers th

2015 Ducati Scrambler Spied + Video

Wed, 11 Jun 2014

Just days after Ducati officially confirmed it will introduce its new Scrambler this fall comes a spy video of the new bike undergoing some regulatory testing at Ducati’s Bologna factory. Filmed by spy image agency BMH Images, the video provides a fairly good glimpse of the Scrambler, albeit with all sorts of testing equipment and at times a large aluminum shroud (listen to it scrape the ground at the 16 and 43-second marks). Ducati Hypermotard with Zero Emissions

Sun, 10 May 2015

Ducati CEO Claudio Domenicali was amazed by an electric bike that he saw at one of his company's Thai dealerships the other day. It turned out that the dealer sells within the walls of his center not only Ducati motorcycles, but also Zero emissions electric bikes. However, the latter didn't sell very well, and he decided to attract buyers by building a test-drive e-bike with Ducati Hypermotard looks and some Zero FX parts and reasoning that it would be easier to send a customer to the track in a Ducati, and only then transfer to Zero.

£4 part (almost) stops play

Wed, 11 May 2011

When I dropped off my trashed 848 to George White, along with a box of parts, I didn't realise how much work would be involved in preparing the bike for the 848 Challenge. If I did, I probably wouldn't have had the front to show up, point to a date on the calendar two weeks ahead, make everyone a cup of tea and then clear off. Truth be told, it's taken a huge effort to get the bike to a place where it's got everything it needs to go racing and I wouldn't be heading to Assen without the effort of Paul Sands (Sandzee) and Mike Collis at George White who worked all sorts of hours to get it sorted.
