This Ducati 1198s comes equipped with full adjustable Ohlins Racing suspension and steering stabilizer, carbon fiber front fender, Ducati Traction Control (DTC) and Ducati Data Analyzer (DDA) w/ USB plug in. Powered by an 1198cc L-Twin engine with a 6 speed transmission, the 1198s puts out 170hp at 9750 rpm and 97 foot pounds of torque at 8000 rpm. It has a seat height of 32.2" and a dry weight of 377lbs. Has ONLY 262 miles (two hundred sixty two). Spent most of its life in storage, started every 3 – 6 months. Never seen a track or a drop of rain. Battery is fresh. Bike starts, runs, rides and looks GREAT!

Former Ducati Owners Investindustrial and Mahindra Make Competing Bids for Aston Martin

Ducati‘s former owner Investindustrial is ready for its next big acquisition, reportedly submitting a bid to acquire a stake in Aston Martin. Investindustrial is reportedly competing against Indian car and motorcycle maker Mahindra & Mahindra for the stake in the British car company probably best known for its association with the fictional spy James Bond. According to Bloomberg, Investindustrial has submitted an offer of nearly 250 million British pounds (US$400.7 million) for a 40% equity stake and 50% control of voting rights for Aston Martin.

Leon Morris (Buildbase/JHP Ducati) took both wins at Round Two of the Rapid Solicitors Ducati 848 Challenge rounding out a very challenging weekend for all the rider and teams at Assen. The changeable weather conditions made for last-minute tyre decisions and tricky racing conditions as the rain came in heavy bursts throughout the weekend, leaving a number of riders out on track on the wrong tyres. Qualifying on Saturday was typical, as the weather rendered two of the three qualifying sessions damp, leaving only the early afternoon session in which all the riders posted a fast time.

James Toseland Announces Retirement from Racing

Two-time World Superbike Champion James Toseland announced his immediate retirement from motorcycle racing due to a debilitating injury to his right wrist. Signed with the BMW Motor Italia racing team, Toseland has been limited to just seven of 20 races in this season’s WSBK Championship due to the wrist injury initially suffered during a private test at Spain’s Aragon circuit in March. After undergoing an operation for the injury, Toseland made two attempts at returning to racing, first at the Miller Motorsports Park round in May and again at the Silverstone round in July.
