Ducati Superbike description

I am only selling this bike because I am losing my garage spaces and don't want to leave it sitting outside. Has been garaged since new.

- Race body work with matching custom painted tank

Condition:
- Licensed and on the road, but has a salvage title. I am the second owner. The first owner went down doing about 25 mph on the right side when it had approximately 500 miles. Pretty much anything that touched the road was replaced with new parts (scratches still on clutch cover). It has full set of new bodywork. I have pictures of the original bodywork so you can see how minimal the drop was and it still has the original clutch cover on it, so you can see it wasn't bad at all.
- Tires and brakes are in excellent shape

- Two keys, code card, and fob (everything the dealer gives you)
- Manual

Shipping:

- Buyer must arrange shipping. I'm in Washington, DC. I can bring the bike to the airport so you can ride home or can possibly deliver within 300 miles or so for an additional fee. I'm fairly flexible and will help you as much as I can by delivering it to a shipper, etc.

Shane Turpin on the 848 at Cadwell

AMA rider and World Superbike wildcard, Shane 'Tornado' Turpin will be riding the 848 Challenge VIP bike this weekend at Cadwell Park. Turpin is an experienced AMA rider and raced as a wildcard at this year’s World Superbike event at Miller Motorsports Park on board a Boulder Motor Sports prepared 1198RS. The Italian manufacturer earned the highest score out of 17 major brands in the 2014 Pied Piper Prospect Satisfaction Index, the firs time Ducati topped the annual Index since 2009.

Did you know those killer motorcycles in the new Terminator Salvation movie (out on May 21, 2009) are Ducati Hypermotard bikes? I guess the Ducati designers around the time of judgment day decided they should go for a more scary and human-destroying look. Or the Italian Ducati designers were killed by Italian terminators, and then the machines took over designing the new bike… I don’t think I’m a fan of their creative concept. Ducati Motor Holding have just uploaded a video on Youtube tooting their own horns, proud that these life destroying vehicles are really Ducati’s at heart.
