Ducati Superbike tech info
Ducati Superbike description
Beautiful red 2009 Ducati 848 for sale by me the original owner. One owner only and never even ridden by anyone else. Very nice bike with low miles and Amsoil synthetic oil/OEM Ducati oil filters used only. Comes equipped with the factory original Marchesini wheels instead of Enkei's which Ducati switched to right when I purchased this bike. Mostly stock but does have some thoughtful upgrades. Pazzo adjustable shorty levers, quick turn aluminum throttle tube, Renthal grips, Shorai lightweight lithium ion battery, K&N air filter, QD stainless steel header, custom narrow Competition Werkes mufflers (1 of only ~6 sets made), Competition Werkes fender eliminator kit, and factory Ducati rear cowl cover. Included but not installed is a billet aluminum quick change sprocket hub and carrier with 520 chain/sprocket conversion kit. Unfortunately, I accidentally knocked it over onto my dirt driveway backing out of the garage within the first week of ownership which resulted in the small scuff on the lower right side fairing and plastic bar end but otherwise has never been crashed or down. There is also a small scuff on the tank from riding leathers but overall the bike is in very nice shape and ready for years more enjoyment for you!
Sorry but no trades, sold as is without any warranty, expressed, implied or otherwise. Buyer is solely responsible for arranging and executing pickup. Please carefully read and understand the terms of the sale before buying. Feel free to email any questions or to setup a time to come take a look. |

Audi Announces Ducati Q2 2013 Sales Results
Fri, 02 Aug 2013Ducati sold 26,007 motorcycles over the first six months of 2013, a 4.8% decrease from the 27,316 units sold over the same period in 2012. Last year’s numbers however were on the books for Ducati’s previous ownership and the latest figures represent the first report for the period under Audi ownership. According to Audi’s second quarter report, Ducati’s sales decrease actually fared better than the worldwide demand for 500cc and larger motorcycles which contracted by 6.9% over the first six months of the year.
Press launches - the ugly truth. Part 3
Sun, 03 Apr 2011So with an afternoon of sightseeing completed (a rare luxury on most launches) it's back to the hotel for the press conference. These are you usually long winded, tooth pulling affairs with Japanese technicians insisting on speaking their bestest engrish which only serves to elongate the proceedings. Nothing kills a presentation more than reading every word of a powerpoint slide verbatum, even thought the viewers can read exactly the same words (and probably a lot faster). The Crossrunner presentation was mercifully brief and snappy followed by dinner in the hotel and a reasonably early night as everyone had already been up for twenty hours.
