2008 Ducati Superbike 1098, This is my Ducati 1098. I bought it new at the end of 2008. It has been kept in a garage and never ridden in the rain, or the wet. It has had its first 500 mile service and is now on 1279 miles of fun. Everything on this bike is standard and like new. Rear foot-pegs are still wrapped and have never been fitted. Pikes Peak International Hill Climb is 156 turns, 12.42 miles (about 20 kilometers) long and an elevation difference of 1439m between the start and finish points. The difficult route requires special doctors' transport, so during the upcoming 95th race, two Ducati Multistrada 950 touring enduros in the appropriate color scheme and with flashing beacons will be on guard for the health of the pilots.
Dramatic start to the 848 Challenge season
Tue, 10 Apr 2012The 2012 Ducati 848 Challenge got off to a dramatic start at Brands Hatch this weekend as the weather played a disruptive influence on the outcome of both races. Cold, rainy conditions prevailed on both Easter Sunday and Monday forcing the field of 33 riders to kick-off the season racing on wet tyres in greasy track conditions. With a number of riders having to start from pit lane, Race 1 got off to an eventful start with two riders falling at Paddock Hill as all the riders jostled for places and wheels touched.

The new 2012 Ducati Streetfighter 848 is equipped with a Testastretta Evoluzione engine similar to the one powering the 848 EVO but tuned to produce a claimed 132 hp and 69 ft-lb. (compared to the s848′s 140hp and 72.3 ft-lb.) In comparison, the 1199cc Streetfighter has a claimed output of 155 hp and 85 ft-lb.
