Ducati Superbike description

2007 Ducati Superbike 999s Team USA, Rare Team USA - DUCATI 999S TEAM USA EDITION This 999 Team USA has a long list of option along with only 4800 miles on a factory rebuilt motor. The motor was rebuilt under a recall from Ducati and this was a complete rebuild from the bottom up. Sato Rear Sets, STM slipper clutch, Pazzo levers, Termiginoni Exhaust, Custom mapped ECU and all service records from the day it was purchased. The 999s Team USA edition is closely designed and based on the race bikes used by both the Bostrom brothers and Neil Hodgson during the 2005 and 2006 AMA Superbike seasons. The 2007 Ducati 999s Team USA is powered by the 143 horsepower 999cc Testastretta engine that delivers a track-hungry 143 horsepower and a Corse-derived low sump crankcase for consistent oil feed even during full race conditions. The extra power is delivered in a smooth, linear fashion to boost performance whether you are riding around hairpin bends halfway up a mountain or powering around a race track. A WINNING TRADITION All Team USA edition 999s are built exclusively for the North American market as a limited production run. Only 150 units have been made and each motorcycle is signed by Neil Hodgson and Ben Bostrom on the tail section. The motorcycle is produced only as a single seat version and is available at Ducati Dealers throughout North America.

Cal Crutchlow To Join Ducati MotoGP

Thu, 01 Aug 2013

Reports are coming in from Europe stating in 2014 Cal Crutchlow will be once again teaming up with Andrea Dovizioso, this time on the unruly and uncompetitive Ducati Desmosedici. This despite his current Yamaha Tech 3 team receiving financial assistance from the factory to give Crutchlow a significant pay increase, something Yamaha boss Lin Jarvis said was “unusual.” The deal is set to be officially announced Friday. While the Yamaha offer was alluring, the former World Supersport champion has been putting in strong performances this season — securing a pole position and occasionally beating factory riders Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo — which has prompted him to demand a factory Yamaha M1 by 2015.

Nuggets from Estoril

Tue, 03 May 2011

HRC Executive Vice President Shuhei Nakamoto and Ducati General Director Filippo Preziosi attracted some major media attention as they enjoyed a lengthy but very public chat in the Estoril paddock. Some speculated they were chewing the fat over Stoner’s brilliance now that even Rossi is struggling to get close to the podium on the D800cc Ducati. Others had no doubt it was the rule change for Moto GP machines moving to 1000cc in 2012 that was being debated.

Ducati Diavel Carbon, with a cherry on top

Sat, 05 Feb 2011

Here at the launch of the Ducati Diavel, there's a Diavel Carbon on display with a few extra Ducati goodies, including the 20mm lower 'Touring' seat. It's trick.. The only thing I'm not so sure about are the wheels, which are black and metal cut finish, as standard on both bikes.
