Ducati Superbike description

2003 Ducati Superbike 999, second owner with 5,086 original miles. The bike is in pristine condition and has always been garage kept with a battery tender hooked up to prolong the battery life. I just got it serviced at Mach 1 in Newport Beach and had a new front tire installed during servicing. I have babied this bike since I bought it back in 2007. It has never seen rain nor has it ever been in an accident or laid down. The bike comes with a matching helmet, all original paper work that I received with the bike, all keys including the red key, and a few other misc OEM parts. I have owned this bike since 2007 and have maybe ridden 2,500 miles since the purchase. It is a lot of fun to ride not to mention the stairs I get while cruising up and down PCH on those beautiful weekend afternoons. The bike needs a good home and someone to look after it as well as I do. Serious inquiries only please call or email anytime with questions. $6,700 OBO (619)675-3689

Up Pikes Peak in under 10 minutes

Fri, 24 Aug 2012

Join Grey Tracy as he romps up the Pikes Peak hill climb in under 10 minutes on a Ducati Multistrada. Tracy finished second to Carlin Dunne, but still managed an impressive time of 9:58 as he tackled the daunting 14,000ft climb. He's quick and as a YouTube commentor pointed out: "Every time you were on the white line I cringed for a second" To which Tracy replied, "Me too!"

That used to be a Ducati 1098

Thu, 08 Apr 2010

I spotted this on my tinterweb travels. It's allegedly the demonstrator bike from a Ducati dealers on the isle of Jersey, in the English channel. The only information to hand is that the bike spat the rider off and the bike hit a tree - the only one for miles - and burst into flames.

The Grand Prix Commission released new rules for the 2014 MotoGP season regarding the standard electronic control unit and what constitutes “factory status” for manufacturers. Starting in 2014, the official MotoGP ECU including internal datalogger from Magneti Marelli will become mandatory. Factory teams will be allowed to program their own ECU software while privateers will be required to run the standard software.
