Ducati Superbike description
2001 Ducati 748R
1796 miles This rare example is nearly stock with a full Arrow exhaust, Yoyodyne slave cylinder and a few carbon bits. I bought this bike about 13 months ago from a dealership in outside of San Francisco. Right before I bought her a major service including valves, belts, all fluids, chain, brake pads, tires and a few things I forgot were done (the bill was over $3000). I cleaned her up, rode her 100 miles then I drained the tank, pulled the battery and stuck her in my buddy's office for a year. I pulled her out of the office a week ago, added some 100 octane to wake her up with a kick, installed a new battery and cleaned and polished every bit of her. she runs GREAT. She needs nothing, she is ready to be ridden or she can be display piece like she was for me. The dynamic at my Buddy's start up has changed I lost my storage space so she has to find a new home. I have the invoice from all the work done before I bought her and included in the sale is a box with the rear fender, signals and a carbon Corbin seat. The mirrors aren't in the picture but they are around somewhere. I like the look of the bike without the street gear so I took it off when I stored it. The stand in the pictures is included too. |

Results From Day 2 Of World Superbike Testing At Phillip Island
Tue, 18 Feb 2014World Superbike testing at Phillip Island came to a close today, and when the dust settled, reigning champion Tom Sykes stamped his authority, setting the fastest time of the test at 1:30.239, just five thousandths shy of the outright lap record held by Carlos Checa. The time was set during the morning session of testing, though nobody was able to best Sykes for the remainder of the day. Eugene Laverty, who was fastest on day one, showed his pace was no fluke as he stayed near the top of the time sheets, ultimately finishing second behind Sykes, with a best time of 1:30.513.
