Ducati Superbike description

This rare 996 SPS is number 1625. It comes with an ON-ROAD Ohio title!  I am the second owner. I know the original owner who lives less than an hour away from me in North Canton.  He bought the bike brand-new for his personal collection. He was a motorcycle dealer who has now retired and decided to thin his collection. I was able to pry it away from him, but it wasn't cheap. There are tons of carbon fiber items he added to this bike. It also has a Ducati factory race team set of billet magnesium triple clamps that are worth $1,500 installed to preserve the irreplaceable numbered triple clamps in new condition.  But the coolest thing about this homologation model is the fact that you can ride it on the road. This bike has never been raced. The original owner installed the turn signal switch, but did not install the actual turn signals or horn. All the parts to make the bike street legal are still new in boxes, and were ordered directly from Ducati. My friend even has the side of the crate the bike was shipped to him in because he put it together himself at his dealership. I have all the original parts that were replaced with carbon fiber pieces in a huge tote including the numbered triple clamp.  I am also including both original exhaust systems. This bike has had belts changed and services done. This bike is gorgeous. See pics.  I just took it for a ride today July 24, 2016 and it runs perfectly.  The only reason I am selling it is because I am 54 years old and I'm not comfortable on the bike. I just like to drive around town and show it off.  But my other bikes are easier to ride at my age. Anybody who has ridden one of these knows what I mean. Feel free to contact me with questions. I am willing to put you in touch with the original owner if you have questions regarding the provenance of this bike.

WSBK: 2012 Magny-Cours Results – Championship Decided by Half a Point

Tue, 09 Oct 2012

You would think carrying a 30.5 point lead into the final round of the 2012 World Superbike Championship would be a safe enough margin to win the title. Aprilia‘s Max Biaggi made it interesting, inexplicably crashing out of the first race at the finale in Magny-C0urs before scoring a fifth place finish in Race Two to give him a 0.5 point margin over Kawasaki‘s Tom Sykes to win the title. The 358 to 357.5 point difference is the narrowest finish ever in WSBK.

848 Challenge: Silverstone race results

Mon, 26 Sep 2011

Race 1: Race 1 produced another memorable 848 Challenge race, with Mike Edwards (MSKworks.com) in determined mood to record his first race victory of the season. But Kenny Gilbertson (AOR/Boast Plumbing), Leon Morris, and Robbie Brown (Ducati Manchester) were to push him all the way, with the front four riders each having held the lead by the half way point. Further back Mark Cheetham (Shorrocks Motorcycles) was trading places with ex-Champion Darren Fry (JHP/Buildbase Ducati) with Aaron Brown (Ladybirds Ducati) and Ricky Holden (Holden Racing) less that a second apart.

MO Touring: 2021 Ducati Multistrada V4S

Chasing dragons, eating barbecue, and reconnecting with my Southern roots Although I was born and raised in Virginia and North Carolina, I’ve done relatively little riding in the two states. When I got my first motorcycle license, I literally packed my belongings on my bike and set out for California the next day for a three-month, 11,000-mile tour. So, when I received the invitation to my 40th high school reunion (OK, 41st.
