Ducati Superbike description

A pristine 748 that is unmodified is hard to find nowadays. With only 10K miles on the odometer, this 748 is a strong runner and the handling is still crisp. The mechanicals are in good condition and all the systems work (lights, horn, stop light, indicator lamps, instruments, etc.). No leaks or loud noises (clutch was replaced).
I have a clear title in my name and current CA registration/insurance.
This 1999 Ducati 748 is the first year of the updated electrical system (520W alternator) which eliminates an earlier model weakness. This was the last year of the adjustable steering head for the standard model (same as the 916/996).
Service wise, it has had a recent oil change, new drive chain, and a fresh battery. The tires are in good condition (Michelin Pilots) and the brakes are strong.
The 748 is the most fun to ride of all the 748/916/996 series. The light steering and useable power make it a delight to ride.

Come To ‘Da Rossi’ For A Pizza And More

Fri, 25 Mar 2011

At 32 years of age, some might say that Valentino Rossi is edging towards the twilight years of his career. At least now he’s got something to fall back on once he hangs up his leathers, as he announced the opening of his pizzeria in his home town of Tavullia, Italy. In the meantime, you can be sure this place will be packed each race weekend.

Mon, 22 Jul 2013

The 22nd edition of the annual LA Calendar Motorcycle Show marked its return to the Queen Mary Seawalk Village in Long Beach, California with hometown boy Sam Baldi taking the Bike Building Championship’s Best of Show trophy with a Jimmy Todorovith/Profile Cycles built Big Twin custom named “Lost Angel.” This year’s Calendar Show showcased not only top builders but selected vendors and exhibitors, and of course the Calendar Girl Music live performances. And as always, this year’s show celebrated the world premiere of the 2014 FastDates.com Motorcycle PinUp Calendars, featuring the world’s top SBK World Superbikes, sport and cafe bikes, and custom motorcycles with the beautiful Calendar Kittens. On hand throughout the day to meet with fans and pose for pictures were Calendar Kittens Apple Price, together with official SBK World Superbike grid girls Jessica Harbour and singer/songwriter Sarah Horvath.

Rossi 'training' at his MotoRanch

Mon, 30 Jan 2012

Like Kenny Roberts, Valentino Rossi has got his own ranch where he has built his own private motocross track and dirt oval. The above YouTube video shows Rossi training on the flat-track circuit that makes up his 'MotoRanch' located near his home town of Tavullia. He's shown riding a Yamaha, but that's probably because Ducati don't have themselves a scrambler.
