New Condition, only dealer prep miles (2 or less). When bike was purchased it was prepared for addition to my collection, gas & battery removed; tire pressure is checked periodically. No modifications, perfect addition to a Ducati collection. Bike is being sold on CERTIFICATE OF ORIGIN FOR A VEHICLE (see photo), HAS NEVER BEEN TITLED OR REGISTERED. Factory warranty has expired. Ducati Reports 43% Growth in North America

Ducati North America announced growth of 43% in 2011 compared to 2010, resulting in the Bologna company’s largest ever market share in the U.S., Canada and Mexico. The announcement reinforces claims made by Ducati Chief Executive Officer Gabriele Del Torchio last September: North America has replaced Italy as Ducati’s #1 market. Ducati attributes its growth to the popularity of the Diavel and Mulistrada in North America.

Riding Around the World on a Ducati Multistrada 1200S

The word “Multistrada” is supposed to mean “many roads” in Italian. One man took the term literally, riding his Ducati Mulitstrada 1200S on a 62,000 mile trip around the world. Paolo Pirozzi, the president of the Naples Ducati Dreams Club, is a self-proclaimed professional motorcyclist with over 280,000 miles logged on various Ducati motorcycles.

As expected, Mercedes-Benz’s performance division AMG announced it is cutting ties with Ducati following the motorcycle manufacturer’s acquisition by rival car-maker Audi. AMG released a brief statement saying, explaining the split and saying it we never in the running to purchase Ducati: “Since the end of 2010 a successful marketing cooperation has existed between AMG and Ducati. The company takeover by a rival car manufacturer has understandably resulted in the end of any further collaboration.
