Ducati Other description

This is a rare black and tan Ducati GT1000 in excellent shape.  Always garage kept, covered and never driven in the rain.  Never wrecked, never dropped.  In addition to the stock specs below, it has the Termignoni exhaust - what a great sound!  Unfortunately I just don't seem to ride it much anymore.  I was riding it to my office on nice days but then a change of jobs has me working out of the house and no reason to commute on it.  It starts and runs great and is a ton of fun to drive.  This baby needs to be ridden more!  Here are the official specs if you don't have them:

Ducati 749R Turbo. 214bhp.

Tue, 22 Feb 2011

I know that the 749 and the 999 split opinion when they were launched. And even today, they don't possess the obviously stunning silhouette of the 848 and 1098 but I'm pretty sure they'll become curious classics in the future. However, this 749 is different and I think it's stunning because, well, it's not the same old 749R with a few carbon bits added.

Rossi & Ducati: 2011 vs 2012

Thu, 26 Jul 2012

It was meant to be an Italian dream reminiscent of the era when Giacomo Agostini dominated Grand Prix with MV Agusta, but ever since Valentino Rossi joined Ducati he has dwindled into a mid-pack runner. There have been glimmers of hope, a Ducati-best for Rossi in the rain at Le Mans and a good showing in the last round at Mugello. Clearly his best dry weather performance, finishing 11 seconds behind the race winner and within eye-shot of the podium.
