1967 Ducati 250 Scrambler with Title   Up for sale is a 1967 Ducati 250 scrambler motorcycle with Title.  The engine does kick freely and has good compression.  The engine does not currently run.  It was last started 2 years ago.  Delorto carburator.  Overall excellent project bike.  The engine is in great condition.  No broken fins, cracks, or deep scratches.  3260 original miles.  I do not have the front fender.  I do have the air cleaner holder but it is not in the pictures.  There is a small dent in the tank.  Bike is sold in as is condition.  I am also missing the key but you can still purchase one on ebay.  The bike is located in Minot ND.  I am able to get the bike to Rochester MN if that would help with picking it up. Buyer is responsible for shipping arrangements and payment. I will help a shipper load the bike on a truck.

Up for auction is a mostly original 1967 Ducati Monza 250. The only parts that have been restored on this bike are that the tins have been repainted, and the bars were replaced with 60's Triumph Bonneville handlebars (much better looking and much more comfortable). As far as I can tell the rest of the bike is original, and with very low mileage, including the tires (Pirellis).

  • 1968 Ducati Other1968 Ducati Other (1968)
1968 Ducati 350 Scrambler, Bevel drive single/wide case.  I restored this bike about three years ago.  The restoration included disassembling the bike, blasting and powder coating the frame, new rims and spokes on original hubs, lots of chrome work, new seat, exhaust and many other parts which were ordered from Italy.  The engine was running so the points and plug were changed and the bike is in good running condition.  The bike had sat for a few months so I recently replaced the battery and also the fuel petcocks to make sure it is in good running condition.  The bike is equipped with the original Dellorto SS1 carburetor.  I have the compression release and enricher/choke cables and controls which I chose not to put on the bike.  They will be sold with the bike.  The speedometer needle feel off during a recent ride and the bike will be sold as is (gauge can be replaced or fixed).  This bike is a rider as well as a great collectors item.  It won first place in its class at the Harvest Classic a few years ago and was rode into the show.  The bike has a clear Texas title listing it as a 1968 Ducati with its original five digit engine number as the VIN.  The bike is sold as is and shipping is the responsibility of the buyer.  Winning bidder is responsible for $200 deposit via PayPal after auction and remainder of payment via cashier's check or money order within 7days of sale.  I can store the bike until arrangements can be made for pickup.

It is in running condition and driven often to "Bike night" and other gatherings.

1972 Ducati 250 Road I bought this low mileage (4608 miles) widecase 250 Mototrans Ducati a while back with the intention of cleaning it up and riding it, but the excessive number of projects that I am currently working on will not allow me to get to this one anytime soon, and I could use the space in the shop, so it needs to go onto it's next owner. The only things I have done are clean the Dellorto VHB27 carburetor, and added the headpipe, exhaust nut, and exhaust crush washer that was missing when I bought it. This should be an easy project, it has good compression, shifts through the gears and everything feels right, but is not running, so you will need to spend an afternoon or two sorting it out.

I’ve always wanted one of these, (I am a confirmed and unrepentant right side shift guy) and finally got one. I’ve had the motorcycle about two years and found it had a few problems, mostly smoking from the front cylinder and I didn’t feel like carrying around extra spark plugs as a guaranteed necessity, although it’s always good to have them as a back up.  The bike has a new very professional "stock" burgundy and black paint job, new metal tank badges and new side cover badges. The striping is all done by hand and is the correct off white toward ivory, per original.

1975 Ducati 860GT Bevel Head Up for auction is one of my favorite projects...  a frame-off restoration done in 1998.   Since then, I’ve used it sparingly, only putting about 1500 miles on the rebuild.   While off the road, it’s been stored in my air-conditioned garage.  It’s become a bit of a garage queen, and I need the space for another resto, so it’s up for bids.   The bike is running, however I’d recommend the new owner spend some time tuning the carbs which I’ve not done since the recent carb refresh.   The bike has a clear North Carolina title. Details of the work: Engine: Crankshaft / rod assembly rebuilt by Syd’s Ducati, St Petersburg Fla.

This 1975 DUCATI 750GT WAS LAST REGISTERED IN 1983...the original owner was "asked" by his wife to stop riding, and he stopped riding...he stopped riding the DUCATI,and watched it sit in the corner of his garage for THIRTY YEARS...I have cleaned the bike only enough to see what is present...I am not a DUCATI expert by any means, but I know bikes in general, and it is obvious that this is a RARE UNMOLESTED example of this great bike...the bike turns over with good compression (owner oiled, and turned the motor regularly, and rolled it in gear)...transmission shifts, and engages the gears...I removed the front BREMBRO F7 caliper intending to rebuild it...it will go back on the bike AS IS...new owner will be responsible for the rebuild...there is no battery...I have not started it,and will not try to start it...Odometer records 14,547 miles...this is actual miles since new...if you need more info, reach me at 603-616-8807...leave a message if necessary and I will respond...SOLD WITH BILL OF SALE ONLY...if you need a title,it will take up to 60 days, and it will cost $150.00 On Aug-26-13 at 11:39:49 PDT, seller added the following information: I have added  a picture of the CASE SEAL on the bottom of the motor...the lead medallion is embossed with DUCATI...it is wired to two case bolts, and confirms that the cases have never been opened...

  • Ducati TT1 Replica - 88HP, Track ReadyDucati TT1 Replica - 88HP, Track Ready (1986)
With 88 rear wheel horsepower in a sub-300lb package, this example is arguably the quickest and best handling old-school TT1 in North America.  I built this TT1 using period components as a relatively faithful replica of the TT1s that ran in the AMA BOTT GP class back in the day.  The only deviation being the modern (90s) calipers and pumps, ignition coils and the non standard crankcase breather box in the seat.  However, it differs from most TT1 replicas in that it was built to be a fast and reliable track bike.  Over the years I’ve found that the only TT1 frame that seems to work well with modern 17” wheels & slicks is the final series Verlicchi large diameter, thin wall.  Back in the day, Reno Leoni had his brother-in-law (DM Frames) make a copy of the Verlicchi and DM has since modified the jig to allow for the use of a big block motor.  The DM version was checked digitally last year against the Verlicchi and they are geometrically identical, however the DM is 12mm longer between the upper cross brace and the steering head.  I countered this somewhat with the offset on my triple clamps, but the small difference in trail gives the DM a bit more stability with a very small decrease in agility.  The specs are: CHASSIS DM TT1 Frame Marvic 3-spoke magnesium wheels with floating 280mm Brembo rotors front and 260mm rear Brembo P3034 calipers with authentic Brembo racing caliper adapters Brembo 996 series pumps Authentic TT1 Brembo rear master Marzocchi M1R forks substantially modified by Lindeman engineering back in the day (they work like no M1R I’ve ever experienced) Authentic TT1 Marzocchi 195mm triple clamps TZ replica throttle Scitsu electronic tachometer Ducati early 851 clip-ons (Verlicchi) Authentic NCR electrics plate Bosch ignition (rewired pick-ups) with Dyna 3 ohm coils Custom-built Stadium shock (rebound plus Hi & Lo speed compression adjustment) Ducati 750 F1 aluminum swing arm Leoncinni TT1 Replica floating rear brake caliper mount Leoncinni TT1 Replica rear sets Old Racing Spares endurance tank and TT1 seat with custom, integrated breather box Bimota DB1R fender & mount Romanelli TT1 fairing loudbike open NCR replica exhaust loudbike 85db Weber exhaust ENGINE: 750 Sport-based bottom end built by Gary Palmer 800SS rods Lightened clutch basket, clutch housing, primaries and flywheel JPrecision heads with new valves, guides & seats and NCR #7 cams with STM adjustable pulleys Modified F1B pistons (12.5:1 compression) Mikuni TM Pro-series 41mm flat slides Mikuni vacuum fuel pump Modified Old Racing Spares cam end covers Oil cooler with Starlite hoses, Earls fittings and top-end lubrication via cam end cover feed Magnesium rocker covers Dyno-tuned to 88hp, 56ftlbs torque The whole kit is held together with over $900 in titanium and aluminum fasteners.  Every bearing and seal in the motor and on the machine is new.  The bike is a highly-developed example of an old-school TT1 – works brilliantly on the track and handles better than any TT1 I’ve ridden.  The bike and motor were built with care and a high level of attention to detail over an 18 month period.  It was broken in correctly on the dyno and then saw six horsepower/tuning pulls and roughly 4.5 hours of track time.  I’ve run the bike at Calabogie and Mosport – and came away delighted with the performance and handling on both occasions.   The fiberglass fairing is a period piece, so there are some minor surface cracks already starting to show.  As well, there is some minor paint blistering (two quarter sized areas) from heat off the 95bd exhaust. You can see the dyno runs at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h6lMRYyqrz4&feature=share&list=UULXdTYwizBnNNHuc_JRjwKw http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-mt_-oKAIMs&feature=share&list=UULXdTYwizBnNNHuc_JRjwKw You can read about the progress of the build on my blog at: http://loudbike.blogs.com/loud_bike/2013/07/back-in-the-saddle.html http://loudbike.blogs.com/loud_bike/2012/09/4th-annual-ducati-tt-f1-symposium.html http://loudbike.blogs.com/loud_bike/2012/05/ducati-750-tt1-and-bimota-db1-sr-builds.html http://loudbike.blogs.com/loud_bike/2011/12/winter-2011-loudbike-vs-bimota-db1-sr-ducati-tt1.html And there are hi-resolution photos on my Flickr site:  http://www.flickr.com/photos/loudbike/sets/72157635863581524/  To get to the hi-rez images, select one and then click on the icon in the lower right of the page (three white dots) and select view all sizes from the drop-down menu. At the time no official photos were revealed, but that’s all changed as Pegram posted these pictures of his completed 1190RX in full race livery on his Facebook page. These photos were captured during team testing in Florida, and the colors show off the all-American design motif.

It's official: Ducati's Diavel IS a cruiser

Wed, 05 Mar 2014

OKAY, it's not official. But a deserving way to gain a moniker you don't like is to go around telling people not to call you it - and Ducati has just released this promo video for the new Diavel titled 'Don't call me a cruiser'. So it's officially forever a cruiser to us.

Rossi, Pedrosa Fastest In Second Sepang MotoGP Test

Fri, 28 Feb 2014

Valentino Rossi and Dani Pedrosa topped the time sheets at the conclusion of the second MotoGP test at the Sepang track in Malaysia. Both clocked identical times of 1:59.999 to become the only riders to dip under the two minute mark the entire test. The hot and humid conditions in Sepang meant times wouldn’t be faster than they were in the first test here only a few weeks prior, and indeed, Rossi and Pedrosa’s time is 0.466 second slower than the fastest lap Marc Marquez set at the last test.

Official 2014 MotoGP Entry List Released

Fri, 28 Feb 2014

The final entry list also lists each rider’s status as either a Open or Factory class rider. The eight Factory riders are allowed to use their teams’ own proprietary ECU software but are otherwise limited by a freeze on engine development, a limit of five engines for the whole season and just 5.3 gallons of fuel per race.

Ducati Announces Record Sales of 44,287 Motorcycles in 2013

Ducati to Race Under MotoGP’s Open Class

Fri, 28 Feb 2014

Ducati announced its MotoGP team will compete under the new “Open” class instead of the “Factory” class the other major manufacturers are adopting. Ducati declared its decision on the Feb. 28 deadline for teams to declare which of the two different class regulations they will use for the 2014 season.

Results From Day 1 Of Second Sepang MotoGP Test

Wed, 26 Feb 2014

With the absence of Marc Marquez from the second Sepang MotoGP test, due to a broken leg suffered in a training accident, another Honda rider took his place at the top of the time sheets, though it’s not who you might think. Alvaro Bautista on the Gresini Honda set the fastest time at the end of the first day with a 2:00.848. The time is 1.3 second slower than the fastest time Marquez set at the last Sepang test.
