For the starters, it comes with a jaw dropping style, a comfortable riding position, new controls, Ducati s Traction Control (DTC) and sharp design elements which enhance its sporty appearance. Power comes from the popular 1098 Testastretta Evoluzione, a unit that made its debut in 2007 and represented the basis of the motor that helped Ducati win the Superstock and Superbike World titles. The engine delivers a massive 85lb-ft of torque and 155hp, and it gives both the best power-to-weight and the best torque-to-weight ratios in its class. The 2013 Ducati Streetfighter S sits on lightweight Marchesini 5-Spoke wheels finished in black. The wheels are fitted with Brembo s Monobloc caliper race technology which includes twin Monobloc callipers each with four 34mm pistons that grip huge 330mm discs.

Sure, with some products – mobile phones, computer games, whatever – the teaser campaign probably works.

WSBK: 2012 Magny-Cours Results – Championship Decided by Half a Point

Tue, 09 Oct 2012

You would think carrying a 30.5 point lead into the final round of the 2012 World Superbike Championship would be a safe enough margin to win the title. Aprilia‘s Max Biaggi made it interesting, inexplicably crashing out of the first race at the finale in Magny-C0urs before scoring a fifth place finish in Race Two to give him a 0.5 point margin over Kawasaki‘s Tom Sykes to win the title. The 358 to 357.5 point difference is the narrowest finish ever in WSBK.
