848 Challenge: Silverstone race results

Mon, 26 Sep 2011

Race 1: Race 1 produced another memorable 848 Challenge race, with Mike Edwards (MSKworks.com) in determined mood to record his first race victory of the season. But Kenny Gilbertson (AOR/Boast Plumbing), Leon Morris, and Robbie Brown (Ducati Manchester) were to push him all the way, with the front four riders each having held the lead by the half way point. Ducati Reports 43% Growth in North America

Thu, 19 Jan 2012

Ducati North America announced growth of 43% in 2011 compared to 2010, resulting in the Bologna company’s largest ever market share in the U.S., Canada and Mexico. The announcement reinforces claims made by Ducati Chief Executive Officer Gabriele Del Torchio last September: North America has replaced Italy as Ducati’s #1 market. Ducati attributes its growth to the popularity of the Diavel and Mulistrada in North America.

WSBK: 2012 Magny-Cours Results – Championship Decided by Half a Point

Tue, 09 Oct 2012

Aprilia‘s Max Biaggi made it interesting, inexplicably crashing out of the first race at the finale in Magny-C0urs before scoring a fifth place finish in Race Two to give him a 0.5 point margin over Kawasaki‘s Tom Sykes to win the title. The 358 to 357.5 point difference is the narrowest finish ever in WSBK.
