Audi Officially Announces Ducati Purchase

Audi has officially announced it has acquired Ducati Motor Holding from Investindustrial. Terms of the deal were not announced, though they should be made available April 19 at the annual stockholders meeting for Audi’s parent company, the Volkswagen Group. The Bologna factory is celebrating its 90th anniversary this year. In honor of this event, the company is sending seven travelers on a trip around the world on the Multistrada 1200 Enduro. They will have to travel a total of 30,000km, visiting Europe, Russia, Mongolia, China, Japan and the United States, passing the baton to each other like an Olympic torch.
