Ducati Other description

2008 DUCATI D16RR Desmosedici $395 Flat Rate Shipping, This Ducati has been well loved and maintained #410. It's in excellent condition with only 2274 original miles Incredible Moto GP technology, sound, power, and performance in a undeniably potent and sexy exterior. The D16RR is literally a Moto GP bike built for the street. At the heart of the D16RR is a compact 989cc V-Four engine inside a version of Ducati's trademark tubular-steel trellis frame. The engine uses the same bore and stroke as that used in the 2006 race bike the D16GP6. It uses the 'twin pulse' firing order in which the crank pins are offset by 70 degrees to generate what Ducati terms as 'soft pulse timing.' Equipped with the race ECU and exhaust system the D16RR achieves 180HP at 13800 rpm at the rear wheel. Don't miss your chance to own not only a work of art, but a motorcycle with true World Championship winning DNA! This bike comes with everything that came from the factory when you purchased a new D16RR as pictured below. Please call or email with any questions. Turn2 Motorcycles is located in NW Portland. And it's goodbye from him

Tue, 17 Aug 2010

THIS IS Valentino Rossi's farewell letter to his Fiat Yamaha team following the announcement the flambouyant Italian is to head to Ducati MotoGP in 2011.The hand-written letter, mistakes and all, is written in almost a 'my first romance' kinda way. It's touching, if a little bizarre. Some of the letter reads:“Unfortunately even the most beautiful love stories finish, but they leave a lot of wonderful memories, like when my M1 and I kissed for the first time on the grass at Welkom, when she looked straight in my eyes and told me ‘I love you!'"Somehow, we can't see Casey Stoner gushing quite as freely when he leaves Ducati for Repsol Honda.

Rossi 'training' at his MotoRanch

Mon, 30 Jan 2012

Like Kenny Roberts, Valentino Rossi has got his own ranch where he has built his own private motocross track and dirt oval. The above YouTube video shows Rossi training on the flat-track circuit that makes up his 'MotoRanch' located near his home town of Tavullia. He's shown riding a Yamaha, but that's probably because Ducati don't have themselves a scrambler.
