Ducati Other description

2007 Ducati Sport Classic GT1000

Selling my beloved Sport Classic. Never thought I would sell, but I can no longer keep it in my garage. Bike has never seen rain, runs and functions flawlessly, and is in nearly perfect condition. Paint shines for days and I get compliments or even photographed most ever time I ride. Bike has 8,400 miles and all services were recently completed, new tires and battery.

I have all records and ALL ORIGINAL PARTS (including stock pipes, mirrors, ecu). Maintained at dealer for most of its life, but now at Desmotosport San Francisco, as I feel they are a superior shop.

Details:
As for upgrade, there are a few "musts" on this bike in order to experience the real feel of the bike. All modifications done were done properly and no corners were cut:

Sport/flashed ECU (also have the fat duc for a little extra kick off the start - I do not use it as it reduces mpg and it has more power than I know what to do with already) $700

Staintune pipes (sound incredible...) $1200

Bar end mirrors (in my opinion, the stock mirrors detract from the bike's look, but I still have them if you would like to use them)

Larger rear sprocket and gold chain (gives you more go off the start and lets the bike feel more sporty in the city) $500

Upgraded MOSFET voltage regulator (stock regulator was known to fail and could actually damage the bike) $350

Bike should need zero investment or maintenance (except routine oils) for a good many years. Just completed the "dreaded" service interval, and put on new Pirelli tires which cost about $1600.

The engine is Ducati's most reliable and trouble free motor, and it is running flawlessly. With the mods, it is likely putting out around 100 HP, but have not gone to the trouble of testing it. I have had several bikes and cars, and this is the most exhilarating motor I have ever had the pleasure of firing up.

Feel free to ask questions!

As for shipping, it is the responsibility of the buyer, but I am happy to help in anyway that I can.

I have both original black keys as well as the red.  Clean title.

Go Inside the Ducati Museum with Google Maps

Tue, 18 Feb 2014

The Ducati Museum in Bologna is a popular attraction for motorcycle enthusiasts vacationing in Italy, but if you can’t make the trip, Google has an alternative. The Internet giant has added a virtual tour of the Ducati Museum to its popular Google Maps application, allowing anyone to “visit” the 9150 square-foot facility. To access the virtual tour, search for “Ducati Museum” or “Museo Ducati”, or by going to http://goo.gl/maps/jAHeL and zooming in to Street View mode.

Open Letter from Ducati CEO About Italian Earthquakes

Tue, 12 Jun 2012

Ducati Chief Executive Officer Gabriele Del Torchio has released an open letter addressing the recent earthquakes in Italy, and how they have affected the company. The Emilia region in northern Italy was hit by a 6.0-magnitude earthquake on May 20 and has continued to suffer from aftershocks including a second earthquake on May 29 that briefly halted production at Ducati‘s Bologna factory. In the letter, del Torchio writes about those who have lost their homes in the disasters and expresses thanks for fundraising efforts to help those in need.

Edible Ducati Streetfighter

Thu, 29 Oct 2009

CEO Bob Parsons, owner and founder of GoDaddy.com threw an all out bash at his wedding this weekend. By far the coolest part was the fully edible, full size replica Ducati Streetfighter, designed by celebrity cake maker, Duff Goldman. Complete with working lights and smoking exhaust, this 400lb cake took 8 men to lift into place and is by far the coolest wedding cake we've ever seen.
