Ducati Other description

2004 Ducati 998 Matrix Edition. If you've ever watched Matrix Reloaded (and who hasn't?), then you must remember the superb bike chase scene with Trinity riding a Ducati zipping in and out of cars on the freeway. Ducati introduced a 998 Matrix Reloaded limited edition in a dark green "Matrix" color. Although it's not clear exactly how many of these were produced, sources indicate that only 150 of these 998 Matrix Limited editions were made worldwide. But this Ducati model even without the cool movie correct paint scheme is perhaps 1 of the most iconic bikes to have ever been produced. The body began with the 916 power plant, then to the 996, finishing out the range with the 998 Testastretta. This model is responsible for creating multiple world champions over the course of its run, and is still regarded as 1 of, if not the best Ducati ever. The 916/996/998 Ducati model once released in the early 90's is responsible for influencing the styling of just about every sportbike you see on the road today. This bike is completely serviced and inspected, don't miss out! Stoner Tops Day One of Sepang Test – Video

Tue, 28 Feb 2012

It’s been about a month since Casey Stoner last tested the Honda RC213V racebike at Malaysia’s Sepang circuit but the defending World Champion remains the man to beat, setting the fastest lap at the first day of MotoGP’s February Sepang test. Heavy rain limited teams’ testing and Stoner only completed 16 laps but still managed to set a time of 2:01.761. Stoner was the only rider to lap under 2:02, though his Repsol Honda teammate Dani Pedrosa came close with a time of 2:02.005 while completing 36 laps.

Pedrosa: most wins, least successful

Wed, 11 May 2011

Should Dani Pedrosa win at Le Mans this coming weekend he will become the most successful rider In the premier-class not to win the coveted title. After his triumph in Estoril the Repsol Honda rider currently finds himself on 13 wins and in joint first and a win, at a circuit that sees him rank as one of riders with the most victories in all classes, would make him a clear leader. Joining Pedrosa at the top of the ranking is Max Biaggi and Randy Mamola, two riders who became associated with the number two.

Valentino Rossi to Ducati? Not so fast!

Thu, 05 Aug 2010

In today’s news that really isn’t news, an interview of Ducati CEO, Gabriele del Torchio, by Bruno de Prato found on Cycle World’s website on August 3rd, reveals the CEO speaking in a matter-of-fact tone about Valentino Rossi’s status as a team member on Ducati’s MotoGP effort. In the CW article, Del Torchio states that the 2010 racing season “will not bring to Ducati any crown in the sport,” but that he looks “forward to Valentino Rossi teaming up with Nicky Hayden.” “Nicky is a wonderful person and a great rider. This year, he greatly contributed to improving our Desmosedici racer.
