New for 2002, the ST4s bristles with our best racing-derived components combined with all day riding comfort. Start with the awesome 117 horsepower Superbike 996cc Desmo 4 valve engine, liquid cooling, fuel injection, 11.5:1 compression, 50mm throttle bodies and a six-speed transmission. Then add the latest Showa fully adjustable upside-down forks with low friction Titanium-Nitride (TiN) treatment, an incredible Öhlins remote reservoir shock and a new aluminum rear swingarm. The result is a bike that is as capable on the racetrack as it is on the street. The performance approach of the ST4s is further confirmed with a carbon fiber rear fender, sticky competition tires, and lightweight Marchesini wheels. Mon, 01 Jul 2013The 91st running of the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb is in the books, and while much of the media attention focused on Sebastien Loeb demolishing the outright course record, setting the first eight-minute lap with a 8:13.878 — over 90 seconds faster than the previous lap record —in his Peugeot 208 T16, history was made in the motorcycle divisions as well. Below are the times for all the motorcycle competitors in this year’s event. As expected, Carlin Dunne aboard the Lightning electric superbike, took top honors among all motorcycle competitors, marking the first time an electric motorcycle has done so.

We're ageing because less people are passing their bike test each year (roughly 30,000 last year compared to 50,000 for the 10 years before the new two-part test) and so not only is the pool not growing it's not even being replenished and so the average age isn't being diluted down by yoof. When the going gets tough in any situation, you really get to see who's got their shit-sorted and who's light enough on their feet to adapt to change.
2012 Ducati Diavel AMG Special Edition Announced
Tue, 06 Sep 2011The marketing partnership between Ducati and Mercedes’ AMG division continues with a new special edition version of the Diavel. The 2012 Ducati Diavel AMG Special Edition is equipped with AMG’s signature 5-spoke wheels, an AMG-style exhaust with engraved end-caps, an Alcantara-upholstered horizontally ribbed seat and carbon fiber radiator grills with aluminum trim. The AMG special edition model will come in the same matte black color as the Ducati Diavel Carbon it is based on, but with AMG’s “Diamond White Bright” stripe and trellis frame.
