Ducati Other tech info
Ducati Other description
1990 Ducati Sport , 1990 DUCATI 750 SPORT If you can find one, it won't be in this kind of condition. This is a period correct, original, unmolested, never crashed, low miles (14K), documented, pedigree Duc. She could fit into a collection/museum as a survivor she is so clean! I purchased the bike a few months back from one of the Guggenheim Motorcycle Museum technical consultants. He had her for the last 16 years where she spent most of her time in the garage. This bike traces back to the Pro Italia shop where it was modeled after the CycleWorld test 750 sport. At this point, there are conflicting stories about the actual test bike for the magazine. I was unable to verify that this is the actual test bike, but was able to verify that it was built by Bobby Weindorf from Pro Italia. Bobby worked on the Cycleworld project bike and at Pro Italia during the time frame . I have spoke with Bobby personally to verify that his mods match this bike. It was upgraded with Delorto PHF36 duel carbs, floated front Brembo rotors, steel braided front and rear brake lines, FULL Fast by Ferracci exhaust, and carbon fiber rear fender. These were all fixes that brought the bike up to the next level for the time period. All of the original parts that were removed (except the rotors and brake lines) are included and in like new condition. Full Ducati mechanics manual, Hayes manual, valve service CD, and the 1990 CycleWorld issue with the bike review in it are all included. Also included are a new set of Michelin A59/M59 tires ($500 value) and a full set of stock fairings ($$$$$ if you could find them!). She had been sitting for a while and I have gone through her to make her road worthy again. Fresh oil and filter change, new plugs, new battery, air filter service, carb rebuilds, fork service with new fork seals and 15w oil, valve clearance and belt check (they have been completed every 3000 mi and due at 15k), final drive chain service, tire inspection and psi check, complete fuel flush and only have used 100+ octane race fuel since. As with any original motorcycle of this age, she does have a few bumps and bruises. I have listed detailed pic's of each a small dent in the left front corner of the tank, a crack in the paint on top of the tank, a split in the leather on the solo seat cover, and a crack in the fairing on the bottom of the front fairing. I am not interested in selling off the parts separately. I am trying to sell to reach a life long dream of a 1994 888 SPO LTD. I will keep her otherwise! $4500 obo 702-480-9425 youtube link to her running.... :// /watch?v=oL5YB8KvmLQ

Ducati Reveals Testastretta DVT Engine + Video
Wed, 15 Oct 2014Ducati has introduced a new version of its 1198cc engine featuring a variable timing system. As the name implies, the Testastretta Desmodromic Variable Timing (DVT) engine combines the company’s signature desmo valves with a variable timing system that adjusts both intake and exhaust camshafts. According to Ducati, this represents the first ever application of both technologies for a motorcycle engine.
Rossi and Hayden Find Improvement but Disappointed with Results
Thu, 01 Mar 2012The good news for Valentino Rossi is he managed to narrow the gap in lap times between his Ducati Desmosedici and Casey Stoner‘s Honda RC213V. The bad news is other riders improved more than he did. Rossi completed 57 laps and set a time of 2:01.550 on the third and final day of the second MotoGP test at Malaysia’s Sepang circuit.
