1990
DUCATI 750 SPORT,
THIS BIKE IS RIGHT OUT OF THE TIME CAPSULE!!! If you can find one,
it won't be in this kind of condition. This is a period correct,
original, unmolested, never crashed, low miles (14K), documented, pedigree Duc.
She could fit into a collection/museum as a survivor she is so clean! I
purchased this Duc a few months back from one of the Guggenheim Motorcycle
Museum technical consultants. He had her for the last 16 years where she
spent most of her time in the garage.
This bike traces back to the Pro Italia shop where it was modeled after
the CycleWorld test 750 sport.
At this point, there are conflicting stories about the actual test
bike for the magazine. We were
unable to verify that this is the bike, but we were able to verify that it was
built by Bobby Weindorf from Pro Italia.
Bobby worked on the Cycleworld project and Pro Italia. I have spoke with
Bobby personally to verify that his mod’s match this bike. It was
upgraded with Delorto PHF36 duel carbs, floated front Brembo rotors, steel
braided front and rear brake lines, FULL Fast by Ferracci exhaust, and carbon
fiber rear fenders. These were all fixes that brought the bike up to the
next level for the time period. All of the original parts that were
removed (except the rotors and brake lines) are included and in like new
condition. Full Ducati mechanics manual, Hayes manual, valve service CD, and
the 1990 CycleWorld issue with the bike review in it are all included.
Also included are a new set of Michelin A59/M59 tires ($500 value) and a
full set of stock fairings ($$$$$ if you could find them!). She had been
sitting for a while and I have gone through her to make her road worthy again.
Fresh oil and filter change, new plugs, new battery, air filter service,
carb rebuilds, fork service with new fork seals and 15w oil, valve clearance
and belt check (they have been completed every 3000 mi and due at 15k), final
drive chain service, tire inspection and psi check, complete fuel flush and
only have used 100+ octane race fuel since. As with any original
motorcycle of this age, she does have a few bumps and bruises. I have
listed detailed pic's of each; a small dent in the left front corner of the
tank, a crack in the paint on top of the tank, a split in the leather on the
solo seat cover, and a crack in the fairing on the bottom of the front
fairing. I am not interested in
selling off the parts separately.
I am trying to sell to reach a life long dream of a 1994 888 SPO. I will keep her otherwise! She is for sale locally and I reserve
the right to end the auction at any time. $500 down payment will be due
upon sale, and is non refundable. You are responsible for your own
shipping.

The review you've all been waiting for
Fri, 23 Nov 2012Although UDReplicas Dark Knight motorcycle suit has been available for a while now, a recent 'on-bike' review was posted online for the first time last week. This capeless crusader thinks that Batman would ride a Ducati 749 Dark (I guess when the Bat Pod is being serviced). Just don't plan on breaking down, the utility belt doesn't have enough room for a mobile.
Vintage Bike Stash Found in Ohio
Mon, 05 Mar 2012Brim’s Imports is a vintage motorcycle shop disguised as a used car dealership, and chances are you’ve never heard of the place or its proprietor, Tom Brim. If you’re in the market for a rare vintage motorcycle, however, it may behoove you to give Tom or his brother, Ralph, an old fashion phone call. A website does exist, brimsimport.com, but its for searching the inventory of late model car and truck parts — the cash flow supporting Tom’s motorcycle obsession.
It started with a good clean...
Tue, 10 May 2011"So when's your first race" says Paul Sands, George White main mechanic. "In 10 days' time" says I, wincing in anticipation of his response. To his credit, he didn't flinch.
