Ducati Other description

1990 Ducati 750 Sport with 15K miles. Replaced original carb with low mileage 750SS carbs with UNI filters to make more streetable.  Unfinished steel seat/tail section and steel hugger fender. New battery w/o acid installed yet.  Fairings in fair condition with blinker mounting holes filled. tires in good condition. Mufflers repacked with stainless wool, new cam belts a couple years ago but has been sitting since, only run a few times. Starter sprague a little finicky, I have the spring to repair it.  I don't ride anymore and picked this up to do the custom bodywork, but don't seem to have the time.

George White & Visordown: 848 Challenge

Tue, 03 May 2011

I've never met a motorcycle dealer who isn't flat-out 24/7 and Steve Gannicott, the big cheese at George White Motorcycles, is no exception. George White's have 7 dealerships across the country and 6 outlet stores - a lot to keep on top of so Steve probably didn't need me pestering him all day but that's exactly what he got. The piece sums up the Rizoma values of Innovation, Technology, Style and Exclusivity and was a culmination of 45 days of continuously precise machining conveying what the company says is a "purity of clean-cut edges and crisp contours, which give a sense of lightness..."

The quietest Panigale in the world

Tue, 07 Aug 2012

For 1199 Panigale to be eligble in Japan, Ducati have had to make it quieter by adding a longer exhaust and a different clutch cover to pass noise tests. The exhaust adds 4kg to the overall 164kg weight, it also requires a unique Japan-only engine mapping. Further dampening the sound is a plastic clutch cover that extends up to cover the rear cylinder.
