Ducati Other description

Well, its that time in ones life to unload this gem and let someone else care for her...

1978 Ducati 900GTS

I purchase this bike from the 2nd owner who is a dear friend a few years back. He owned the bike since 1979 or 1980 and held it in his collection since i purchased it. It has been well cared for and has only 4065 miles on the clock. The miles are true and correct. It has its original black paint with silver stripes. The paint is in fantastic condition and has only very light crackling in it if you look very closely in sunlight due to its age.. The patina is true and honest..Rencently serviced which includes rebuilt carbs, oil change, new battery..This bike runs perfectly and purrs like a kitten . The only non original part on it are the K&N low handle bars which the pervious owner switch out..I will provide its original factory handle bars in with sale. The headers were black chromed back in early 80's to match handle bars. All switches and lights work as they should. The Pirelli Phantom tires are in great shape. What more can i say, the bike is still new with very low miles. Any questions please ask and i will do my best to answer the best i know how. Don't let this one get away, you don't find them like this to often anymore.. Good Luck and bid with confidence. I can provide link of many more photos and video upon your request. Winning bidder must pay deposit of 500.00 at end of auction by paypal and balance by either bank check or cash upon pickup. Once paid in full i will release and mail out title if you chose. I can assist in shipping but it is buyers responsibility..
0 feedback bidders will be blocked, sorry.

I have this motorcycle listed for sale locally and reserve the right to end auction early.

WSBK 2012: Assen Results

Mon, 23 Apr 2012

The Netherlands hosted a dramatic weekend of World Superbike racing that featured a red-flagged wet race, several riders crashing while leading, a first-time race winner, a photo finish between two teammates and the reigning World Champion finishing out of the points because of a poor choice of tires. The 2011 WSBK Champion Carlos Checa arrived at Assen with the lead in the championship and a three-race winning streak, but opting to run wet tires in Race Two cost him the lead and may have contributed to a crash that severely injured Liberty Racing‘s Brett McCormick. £4 part (almost) stops play

Wed, 11 May 2011

When I dropped off my trashed 848 to George White, along with a box of parts, I didn't realise how much work would be involved in preparing the bike for the 848 Challenge. If I did, I probably wouldn't have had the front to show up, point to a date on the calendar two weeks ahead, make everyone a cup of tea and then clear off. Truth be told, it's taken a huge effort to get the bike to a place where it's got everything it needs to go racing and I wouldn't be heading to Assen without the effort of Paul Sands (Sandzee) and Mike Collis at George White who worked all sorts of hours to get it sorted.
