1967 Ducati 250 Scrambler with Title

Up for sale is a 1967 Ducati 250 scrambler motorcycle with Title.  The engine does kick freely and has good compression.  The engine does not currently run.  It was last started 2 years ago.  Delorto carburator.  Overall excellent project bike.  The engine is in great condition.  No broken fins, cracks, or deep scratches.  3260 original miles.  I do not have the front fender.  I do have the air cleaner holder but it is not in the pictures.  There is a small dent in the tank.  Bike is sold in as is condition.  I am also missing the key but you can still purchase one on ebay.  The bike is located in Minot ND.  I am able to get the bike to Rochester MN if that would help with picking it up.

Buyer is responsible for shipping arrangements and payment. I will help a shipper load the bike on a truck. $100 deposit to be made through paypal within 24 hours of the auction closing and full payment to be made within 48 hours of auction closing. Final payment after deposit to be made with cash or cashiers check only ( cashiers checks must clear bank account before bike ships).

Press launches - the ugly truth. Part 3

Sun, 03 Apr 2011

So with an afternoon of sightseeing completed (a rare luxury on most launches) it's back to the hotel for the press conference. These are you usually long winded, tooth pulling affairs with Japanese technicians insisting on speaking their bestest engrish which only serves to elongate the proceedings. Nothing kills a presentation more than reading every word of a powerpoint slide verbatum, even thought the viewers can read exactly the same words (and probably a lot faster).  The Crossrunner presentation was mercifully brief and snappy followed by dinner in the hotel and a reasonably early night as everyone had already been up for twenty hours.

Ducati DVT – Desmodromic Valves Meet Variable Valve Timing?

Fri, 10 Oct 2014

Ducati sent out invitations to motorcycle media about an unveiling on Oct. 15 for something cryptically called “DVT“. No other details were provided, though the likely assumption is Ducati’s version of a variable valve timing system.

The quietest Panigale in the world

Tue, 07 Aug 2012

For 1199 Panigale to be eligble in Japan, Ducati have had to make it quieter by adding a longer exhaust and a different clutch cover to pass noise tests. The exhaust adds 4kg to the overall 164kg weight, it also requires a unique Japan-only engine mapping. Further dampening the sound is a plastic clutch cover that extends up to cover the rear cylinder.
