Top 10 EICMA Show Bikes You May Have Missed
Mon, 14 Nov 2011Interesting motorcycles you probably didn't see1 of 11Next Last There’s no cave deep, mountain high or rock heavy enough to have thwarted news of Ducati’s 1199 Panigale superbike launch at the 2012 EICMA show in Milan, Italy. And a few models such as Honda’s NC700S and X, Kawasaki’s Versys 1000 and CRP’s Energica were unveiled without heavy prior fanfare, but gasps of surprise weren’t heard when the wraps were taken off Triumph’s Tiger 1200 Explorer, Husqvarna’s Nuda or MV Augusta’s F3 675 among others, whose existences were revealed months in advance of the show. Results From Day 2 Of World Superbike Testing At Phillip Island
Tue, 18 Feb 2014World Superbike testing at Phillip Island came to a close today, and when the dust settled, reigning champion Tom Sykes stamped his authority, setting the fastest time of the test at 1:30.239, just five thousandths shy of the outright lap record held by Carlos Checa. The time was set during the morning session of testing, though nobody was able to best Sykes for the remainder of the day. Eugene Laverty, who was fastest on day one, showed his pace was no fluke as he stayed near the top of the time sheets, ultimately finishing second behind Sykes, with a best time of 1:30.513.
Roland Sands-Built Ducati Desmosedici Dirt Tracker For Sale
Mon, 29 Jul 2013For sale on Ebay right now is this controversial 2008 Ducati Desmosedici. The exact one Roland Sands turned into a dirt track racer as a very special one-off project for a friend in 2011. The “Desmo Tracker” as it’s called, is a fully road legal motorcycle featuring nothing but top-shelf parts and world-class attention to detail, as one would expect from a RSD custom.
