2013 Ducati Monster 696, CONTACT KYLE FOR DETAILS(480)-898-0559The 696 is the smallest member in the Monster family and is packed with a Desmodue, 696 cc, L-Twin cylinder, air cooled engine which offers a maximum output of 80 hp @ 9000 rpm and 50.6lb-ft @ 7750rpm and is paired with a six speed transmission.

Like its bigger siblings the Ducati Monster 696 is fitted with the APTC wet clutch which improves stability under aggressive down-shifting. Moreover, the bike features the same lightweight tubular steel Trellis frame with aluminium rear sub-frame found at the Monster 1100 and 796 models.

When designing the Monster 696 Ducati s engineers have spent a lot of time to carefully refine the bike s ergonomics. Thereby elements like the fuel tank, seat height and the steering lock were especially designed to maximize comfort.

The 20th Anniversary edition is offered with a series of distinctive features such as the 1986 Ducati logo, the same colors as the 1992 Monster 900 and 90s style wing mirrors.

Monster Story

In 1992 Ducati unveiled a new prototype that was to become an icon. Ducati s creation awed the crowds and the world s media of that year s Cologne International Motorcycle show. The 900 Monster was a motorcycle that created a truly new niche - dramatically styled, minimalist in stature yet bristling with innovative engineering solutions. The Monster s radical styling has also provided the inspiration for an entire after-market sector specialising in hot-rod parts for this legendary machine. For this reason, rarely do you see two Monsters the same. This radical and refreshing design departure also influenced other manufacturers but, as the old adage states: imitation is the highest form of flattery... While the motorcycle world is eagerly waiting for the new 2015 Ducati Scrambler to go on sale, Japanese Speedtractor customizers are reinventing their scrambler from a Bolognese brand donor. The motorcycle is based on the 1988 Ducati 750 Sport. The previous owner bought it in the mid-1990s to ride on the track, but after the first Sunday race, he parked the bike in the garage for several years for some reason.

Ducati 1199 Panigale On The Dyno

Italian magazine Motociclismo is one of the largest and most influential motorcycle publications in all of Europe, and they’ve captured this clip of a Ducati test rider running the new 1199 Panigale on the dyno. Rider wearing full gear aside (he even flips down his faceshield!), what sticks out to me is how quickly the new Superquadro engine accelerates through its rev range. I was also impressed at the length it took before the rev limiter was reached.

EICMA 2012: Ducati Diavel Strada Revealed

Ducati is introducing a new touring-oriented version of its already genre-twisting Diavel sports cruiser. Unveiled at the 2012 EICMA Show in Milan, Italy, the new Ducati Diavel Strada joins the base Diavel, the Diavel Dark and the Diavel Carbon in Ducati‘s 2013 lineup. The Ducati Diavel Strada adds a larger seat, touring windscreen, heated grips, revised rear lighting assembly, higher-output generator and two auxiliary power outlets for additional accessories.
