Ducati Monster description

2008 Ducati Monster 695, Call SAM SCOTT for details! 888.636.4306 - THE FASTEST WAY TO OWN A DUCATI The 695 is a most unique offering – a bike that welcomes new motorcyclists and delivers a level of performance that can also thrill more advanced riders. A Monster 695 transforms a motorcyclist into a Ducatista – a rider whose motorcycle looks, feels and sounds like no other. And to make every twist of the throttle exciting, the new Desmo L-twin 695 engine astounds with its potently smooth and fluid power. With the lowest seat height of any Ducati, the riding position of the 695 is one of comfort, control and confidence. The riders position is more upright as hands reach to a set of raised handlebars that are slightly wider for increased comfort and control. The footpegs strike a comfortable balance between a rearward sport position and a forward laid-back sport cruiser position. All in all, a rider feels confident and in control aboard a Monster 695. DUCATI POWER AND APTC CLUTCH The new 695 Desmo L-twin engine with its advanced computer controlled fuel injection and a new big bore, short stroke design delivers an impressively smooth and fluid 73 horsepower. The 695 also respects our environment by responsibly adhering to the newest stringent Euro 3 emission standards. The Adler Power Torque Clutch, a Ducati exclusive, makes the 695 even friendlier, safer and more comfortable. It provides a clutch pull that is amazingly light, while also including slipper clutch benefits. A slipper clutch, typically found on race bikes, benefits the rider by reducing the destabilizing rear wheel lock-up or chatter phenomenon when downshifting aggressively. It also benefits advanced riders and racers alike for the very same reasons. DUCATI PERFORMANCE The 695 takes full advantage of the confidence-inspiring, road-holding stability of the Ducati trellis frame design. The trellis frame is light, rigid, beautiful, and distinctively Ducati. Marzocchi 43 millimeter inverted forks and a Sachs rear shock smooth out the bumps and add their share of poise to the 695’s road manners. And for world-class stopping power and safety, high performance Brembo calipers grip twin 300 millimeter discs in the front and a single 245 millimeter disc at the rear.

Motorcycle Results From The 2013 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb

Mon, 01 Jul 2013

The 91st running of the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb is in the books, and while much of the media attention focused on Sebastien Loeb demolishing the outright course record, setting the first eight-minute lap with a 8:13.878 — over 90 seconds faster than the previous lap record —in his Peugeot 208 T16, history was made in the motorcycle divisions as well. Below are the times for all the motorcycle competitors in this year’s event. As expected, Carlin Dunne aboard the Lightning electric superbike, took top honors among all motorcycle competitors, marking the first time an electric motorcycle has done so.

Happy Holidays from Nicky Hayden and Ducati Corse

Thu, 23 Dec 2010

Twas a few days before Christmas when all through the house, not a creature was stirring … except for Nicky Hayden. The Kentucky Kid dropped by Ducati’s head office in Bologna, Italy, but when he arrived, there was no one to be found. No, it wasn’t because of one of those month long holidays Italians are known for.

Really this sort of thing is Forsyth's thing. Although I'm probably wrong saying that and the old man will berate me for posting pictures of a Ducati with a bastardised engine. That it may be, but it's a serious bit of handywork...
