Ducati Monster tech info
Ducati Monster description
The Duc is in excellent condition. It has been babied its entire life and has had all of its check-ups. I had the 7500 mile service done last summer at Northern Ohio Ducati (they are superior Ducati people) and it has never been raced, tracked, or wheelied. I bought it from a guy in Bethesda, Maryland who had to sell because his wife was with child, and I'm only selling it to put cash down on a house (priorities, right?).
When I had it serviced last summer, the technician said it looked like it was brand new inside and out. The only issue: no red key. The chap I bought it from didn't know it was important and misplaced it when he was out on deployment, so I only have 1 chipped key for it, thus the low starting price. Other info: -95HP -Completely Stock except for CRG Lane-Splitter bar end mirrors -Black with white racing stripe -Fast and Pretty -More photos upon request -Duc is for sale locally, so I reserve the right to end the auction early. |

MotoGP to Standardize ECU Software in 2016 Season
Tue, 18 Mar 2014MotoGP‘s Grand Prix Commission announced the series will adopt a standardized Engine Control Unit hardware and software programming for all entries starting with the 2016 season. At the moment, all teams are required to use a standard ECU hardware supplied by Magneti Marelli. Teams competing under the Factory option are allowed to use their own proprietary software programming while Open option participants must use standardized software.
Ducati 1199 Panigale On The Dyno
Mon, 23 Jan 2012Italian magazine Motociclismo is one of the largest and most influential motorcycle publications in all of Europe, and they’ve captured this clip of a Ducati test rider running the new 1199 Panigale on the dyno. Rider wearing full gear aside (he even flips down his faceshield!), what sticks out to me is how quickly the new Superquadro engine accelerates through its rev range. I was also impressed at the length it took before the rev limiter was reached.
1199 TerraCorsa
Fri, 25 Oct 2013Looking like something from Mission Impossible II, this 1199 Panigale S has been given the off-road treatment by MotoCorsa, a Ducati dealer based across the pond in Portland. The bike features a Desert Storm paint job, a stock 1199 exhaust and a custom crash guard. MotoCorsa’s General Manager Arun Sharma said that they “dropped the forks as low as we could in the triple and raised the shock’s ride height as much as possible; the idea being to max out the ground clearance.”“There’s all these guys saying ‘that’s so stupid’ or ‘why would you ruin a good bike like that?’ Well, why not just have some fun and be silly?”The bike’s been taken on a 1200 mile adventure and apparently performed faultlessly across all kinds of terrain. MotoCorsa plan to make another video where the bike is taken off-road again, then driven into the garage before being prepared for a track day.
