The future. But we can't have it
Thu, 10 Nov 2011It's no secret that we motorcyclists are getting older. We're ageing because less people are passing their bike test each year (roughly 30,000 last year compared to 50,000 for the 10 years before the new two-part test) and so not only is the pool not growing it's not even being replenished and so the average age isn't being diluted down by yoof. When the going gets tough in any situation, you really get to see who's got their shit-sorted and who's light enough on their feet to adapt to change.

Wed, 06 Jun 2012I was both nervous and excited for my first ever reverse direction track day last week at Knockhill. From rushing downhill into the left hand off camber hairpin to sweeping up onto the start/finish, nothing bears any resemblance to riding round clockwise. I actually raced my 350LC in the opposite direction in 1982 but it still took a few laps to get my head round what essentially is a brand new track for Scotland.

The five-event 2012 Ducati Riding Experience Calendar will be held at some of Italy’s top circuits including the MotoGP-hosting Mugello and Misano circuits and the Imola and Monza circuits which host World Superbike. The Ducati Riding Experience offers six courses, covering a range of skill levels and using different Ducati motorcycles.
