It all starts with the 996 cc Superbike engine and lightweight Superbike-derived trellis frame to ensure the perfect combination of power and handling. A Showa fully adjustable front fork with low friction TiN treatment and a fully adjustable Showa rear shock handle suspension duties. The exclusive Ducati Superbike rising rate, ride height adjustable rear suspension system includes a new single-sided aluminum swingarm. An extraordinarily beautiful “two into one into two” exhaust has been designed for the S4R. With both silencers positioned high and on the right side of the bike, the system has an aggressive and powerful new look. The S4R boasts a wide array of performance features and is available in a new range of colours: solid glossy black, and either blue or red with a white racing stripe. The 996 cc, liquid-cooled, Desmoquattro, fuel-injected, L-twin engine is derived directly from our World Superbike champion race bikes. With muscle to spare, the S4R delivers tractable power and torque over the widest rpm range, so you are “on the gas sooner” and shift less. Ducati Confirms Checa For 2013, Althea Out
Mon, 29 Oct 2012As the Ducati Factory World Superbike team finalizes its plans for the introduction of the 1199 Panigale into the series, two things are certain: 2011 champion Carlos Checa will be the team’s lead rider, and Team Althea Racing, who have worked with Ducati since 2010, will not be the team’s sponsor. The first bit of news shouldn’t be a surprise, as Checa has been helping the Bologna factory develop the Panigale since mid-year. Checa won the 2011 championship with a masterful display of domination on the 1198, a model many believed to be dated and an underdog before the season began. Details of Checa’s new contract with Ducati have yet to be released other than his role in continuing to develop the 1199 and being the team’s lead rider next year.

Ducati Hypermotard Help Destory Mankind [Video]
Wed, 29 Apr 2009Did you know those killer motorcycles in the new Terminator Salvation movie (out on May 21, 2009) are Ducati Hypermotard bikes? I guess the Ducati designers around the time of judgment day decided they should go for a more scary and human-destroying look. Or the Italian Ducati designers were killed by Italian terminators, and then the machines took over designing the new bike… I don’t think I’m a fan of their creative concept. Ducati Motor Holding have just uploaded a video on Youtube tooting their own horns, proud that these life destroying vehicles are really Ducati’s at heart.
