Ducati Monster description

Bike is in excellent condition, never been down, raced, or abused.

Includes matching rear seat cowl (not pictured) and rear stand.

Has Ducati Performance (Arrow) exhaust, K&N filter, carbon fiber rear fender, fender eliminator, bar end mirrors, and Scorpio SR-i900 alarm. Also has a quality underbody LED lighting kit installed by Ducati.

15k service completed at 12k including chain, sprockets, etc. Michelin Pilot Road rear tire has around 1k miles on it, front has tread left in it as well. New battery last season.

For 1199 Panigale to be eligble in Japan, Ducati have had to make it quieter by adding a longer exhaust and a different clutch cover to pass noise tests. The exhaust adds 4kg to the overall 164kg weight, it also requires a unique Japan-only engine mapping. Further dampening the sound is a plastic clutch cover that extends up to cover the rear cylinder.

Ducati has released a video describing the work that went into producing its Desmosedici GP12 to coincide with the MotoGP race machine’s official unveiling. The Bologna, Italy, manufacturer gave the Desmosedici a much-publicized overhaul after a disasterous 2011 season, with star rider Valentino Rossi going without a win for the first time in his Grand Prix racing career. From the post-season test in Valencia, Spain, in November to today, Ducati redesigned is race bike, with Ducati Corse General Manager Filippo Preziosi saying 90% of the parts are new.

Audi-Ducati Discussions No Longer Exclusive

Audi‘s window for exclusive negotiation rights with Ducati has closed, but the German automaker is still expected to announce the acquisition of the Italian motorcycle brand this week. Volkswagen-owned Audi had exclusive rights to discuss acquiring Ducati until April 15, and though other suitors may now begin negotiations, Audi remains the front-runner. Last week, Reuters reported a deal could be announced as soon as April 18, the day before the Volkswagen Group’s annual shareholder meeting.
